Howdy guys, Lately I've been looking at cheap tvs for multi-purpose computer use (basically watching/gaming) while I do other things on my monitors. This TV from Big W caught my eye (for $350). Viano 49" UDH LED LCD TV - TV49UHD4K Obviously cheap and nasty. But for a 4k TV (and even only $400 not on sale) I didn't think it was too bad, so decided to buy it. Most gaming on it will be racing sim (Forza 7/Project Cars 2). Will throw up a review of it when it gets here. I'm preparing to be underwhelmed, because the reviews are TERRIBLE
We have a Viano in the house, used for gaming, 42" I think, and no complaints. It's 'smart' enough for the Xbox One to detect it's 4K and suggest it changes resolution
Got 43" Kogan yesterday, using it as gaming monitor on my desk, it's FANTASTIC! $399 delivered to Brisbane, bargain!
Not enough technically competent people reviewing shit monitors. It's always some bogan in the comments section giving it 5 stars, another giving it 1 star, and both with 3 word reviews. I want full, RTings style reviews detailing just how bad these things are and why.
Well, I just ordered one... welp. Remind me if I forget to post a review... $284 delivered... + a licence for display fusion.... going to find out if it works as a desktop monitor ... poor mans ultrawide
I honestly forgot But I will say, it's been a fantastic TV! Speakers aren't the greatest (maybe I'm just spoiled by my sound bar and Home theatre?) Picture looks fantastic! Lots of inputs. Easy remote. Dunno what else to say tbh! Well worth the $400 I paid for it! I'd grab another if I could!
Thanks for taking the time to reply. Seems like a decent cheap TV. So why don't you get another if you want one? $284 but only 2 days left at that price. https://www.ebay.com.au/itm/Viano-49-4K-UHD-LED-LCD-TV-USB-PVR-4-x-HDMI-TV49UHD4K-NEW-/202665060535
