My mining PC is making a profit off the GPUs, it may as well sit there with a few TB of chia plots as well. Guess I'll join maxiopool like the cool kids. This weekend is going to be The Great Replotting anyway.

I mean the second option is stealing power at my work. Lol nah I don't think I'll do that.

Pretty sure people will see about $8 a day from 700TB of plots I guess a lot depends on size of the pool, their terms, and netspace growth.

I've been making a fairly consistent 0.04xch a day with hpool for the last 6-8 weeks. Hopefully the official pools are slightly more profitable if they can't be cheated

up to ~1900 plots now, to make 0.04xch a day = $11USD or $14aud (but still constantly decreasing)

So I've nuked a bunch of low quality plots and joined maxiopool, replotting those back now.

I guess I'll do some napkin maths once payouts happen under the pool, has anyone gotten anything via maxiopool yet?

Where abouts are you seeing this? Checking the Farming tab shows my solo mining, the plot count total versus the checks underneath differ (as I have a handful of pooling plots) - but is there a similar section to see Pool checks/earnings?

I'm 'pooling' and my count is there, but that's about it - can't see if it's doing much

On the maxiopool website I can see my estimated earnings. Cause I’ve only got like 4-5 plots it’s stuff all. They pay out noon daily I believe but havnt seen anything. Probably because it’s an amount too small.

I had to delete a plot at 98% today cause it kept having write errors or something. I havnt tried plotting via power shell. Not sure if they would be nft plots. Might have to do a test run

    Ah yea

Madmax came out with an update so I've been using that - they're being accepted into the GUI no issue with my pooling contract code added in on creation

Just tested Madmax today. Ryzen 3600, 16GB RAM, 1TB NVme. 12 threads, NVMe as my temp disk. 62 minutes to plot! Was 88 minutes on my Ryzen 1600

I'll stick with MadMax now. haha

Literally just got it working on my 3900X with 20 threads. Will see how it goes off the cardea. :)

Now to get the R610 cranking them out under Linux as well.

I already have 15 points from maxio, whatever that means.

Also Phase 1 of madmax on this machine took 1341.35 seconds compared to 6226 using the normal plotter from the same drive (but less threads). Crikey.

Yeah I'm unsure about the points, but following along to the Maxio login URL and then dashboard, I can see the actual details as Aero mentioned above

And yeah - you start to realise how inefficient the factory default plotter is when Madmax comes along, I read somewhere it couldn't handle multi-threaded processing well (for MULTI-multi threads, like what we'd all be using)

I suggest buying cheap ECC ram kits for those dells if you're investing, should be dirt cheap compared to desktop - they'd take Registered, nobody can sell those for much - make ramdrives, save ssd wear

Yeah that RAM plan is already very much underway. :)

3900X: Total plot creation time was 3092.98 sec (51.5496 min)

    Not too shabby at all.

Got the R610 working with madmax now, also with 20 threads as it has 2x 6-core Xeons with HT, temp is a RAID0 array of 4x 10k 300GB drives .. phase 1 taking about twice as long as the Ryzen, which was also the case with the normal plotter, so still a vast improvement over the stock plotter. Should have my full farm in pool mode in not too long at all.

Here's my log from a few pages ago with my 3900X for comparison, I'm hoping RAM can push it down to sub-30 but here's hoping /shrug

a 6c/12t 1650v2 in a loaner server from work on 4x 600G 15Ks does about 60 minutes per with ramdrive, swapped out to 4x Crucial 500G's in Raid0 and it dropped to 45-50mins

Managed to convert a few plots over within the last 24 hours or so though, but it's just annoying I literally JUST got the drives fully-populated with Solo and now this change is required :)

I am using the replotting pschiaplotter tool with Madmax integration.

    Pool key included.

Any thoughts on space pool vs maxiopool?

i just watched a video on how to use the madmax plotter, am just doing my first plot now as a test, ive got nothing special for my pc to plot with as i dont feel its a big money maker but i have to be in it to win it though.

think im on track to plot in about 55 minutes. wont take long to replace my 200 plots. i dont think. will post how long its taken to plot on my ryzen 5600, 32gb ram and a wd nvme drive. (89% health of the drive)

Well, I have a relevant meta-question, which is, is it better to be in one pool or two pools? When I was young and stupid (yesterday) I accidentally made two pool NFTs, so I decided to put them on different pools, one maxio, one space. The maxio one returned points more quickly so I have been focussing on that one since. But I still have 4 plots in space and it is collecting points at what seems to be a similar rate.

Also Maxio has this bonus: Join us before 13 JUL 2021 and continuously pooling for 7 days to enjoy lifetime -0.1% fee bonus!

edit: also one obvious disadvantage is it will take twice as long to reach the payout threshhold if you are farming across two pools.

A fair few posts on Facebook groups were talking about spacepool, but I just joined with what's local and their background seems okay

I'm about 8TB of plots into pooling at the moment and yea the points are coming in pretty good
