Sorry? Is that directed at me?

I didn't give him advice I gave him an actual fact from my experience. A good quality air cooler is fine for a 10700kf @ 5ghz which is what his question was. I then recommend he gets the best cooler he can afford and fit due to 10th gen sensitivity to temps.

Maybe you can't cool your CPU because your at 1.5v +? He will never see 1.5v + in his lifetime so what is the problem?

Thanks. I don't wish to discuss this with you any further because It's off topic in this thread. Please don't direct comments to me unless they are relevant or cinebench related.

He is better off with an AIO that's all I was saying Daniel.
    1745 - 6 core thing - spit051261 - Intel i5 10600k - 5.4GHz @ 1.55V - Aorus master - g-skill 4000@ CL14 1T-Chilled
With this board , as long as you keep water block frozen , don't seem to get condensation . Have to remove it quick before ice melts .
Apex gets wet and you have to vaseline around socket .

Does Benchmate show temps below zero?

    Nice work spit051261

Chilled is not my thing :thumbdn: After all the shit I have seen overclockers break. No thanks.

edit. One day maybe for curiosity I may try cold  Next year  A whole heap of new shit to buy.
Then I'd only use budget parts to learn on as Fasttrack member recommends. A cheap $100 combo I am prepared to lose

edit. Also the delid processors here run nice and cool even up to 1.5Vcore if it's needed.
That is a much better processor than previous hot 9900K.
No need of risking condensation. 10900K is plenty strong for the scores I like on 54x  Happy enough.

    Ok boys, my turn.

This is a benchmarking thread, I believe I previously said that discussion and friendly banter is fine and I'm sure most will agree. But, there has been alot of negative stuff happening in here, it's been going for quite a while and maybe it should stop. There is no need for name calling and insults, if your score got beat then so be it and either beat it back or accept it but don't crap on people because you don't like what they do. Yes some seem to like bending rules but can we do? Keep it honest and fair and there will be no issues.

My daily clock ideas have caused some discontent and so has the use of chillers. Guys, just be honest, if you have a chiller in use then so be it. If you want to run 1.5v vcore and say it's safe for daily then that's your risk but don't pretend that it's safe ....

So, this is my last moderating post, next step is locking the thread and be done with it. If someone wants to start an R20 thread then maybe you should look at getting it up and running.

Agreed. I genuinely do not understand why this particular benchmarking thread causes so much angst between members. I'll make a simple rule: from now on, if you post a personal attack on another person in this thread, you will lose your ability to reply to this thread, forever. Simple enough?

because it become a "competitive" benchmark like.
No to personal attacks offcourse, but is nice seeing the new cpu's pushed to the limit(ambient and chilled) by each one of us;).

After all it is a nice thread! Keep it alive

All benchmarks are competitive. But only this thread seems to generate the abuse and drama. Anyway aussie-revhead and I have made it pretty clear, discussion of the topic is of course fine, just don't make it personal.

Its for everyone elses reference i imagine. Not everyone can do 5.5

Do a 5ghz run yourself and compare :)

Edit:. I approve btw, I've been doing 5ghz runs all day on 10700k today. Getting used to intel again. Little painful sofar lol

Is there a separate board for efficiency ?

    Nah
but there are clock limited efficiency threads for superpi etc. I was thinking of getting back onto those too. Its all worth hwbot points lol
