I have been using this to play MOBA games now, not so demanding games like Dota 2 runs better on this machine than on my 6950X ;) CBB to try 4.7 or 4.8 just to stay under 1.3V

wow. the 18 core screams along. :D

Gave the 8700k a couple of runs at stable daily settings to see how it compares.
Multi core bounced up and down a few points between runs, but single core got 210 both times. (man, that takes a long time...)

I'm actually probably going to use this one as my daily OC, it does it so easily, and ram is only at XMP.

Still learning Ryzen, and I *should* be able to get more out of the ram given it booted first time @ XMP c14-3200 with the new ram. I already know I can get 4000 from the CPU (not stable or cool enough for a daily clock though, especially on a factory air cooler), so I expect considerable improvements yet.

Motherboard is pulled down. Battery out. We'll see if it start's tomorrow. No fault of mine ... cpu mount correct, 1 turn per corner.
1.2V core. Settings as Splave recommends.
    __________

That's how it goes with electrical goods ... if you can run for 2 weeks then your usually fine. DOA Asus Apex before that.
So I have little faith in the modern parts

    Yeah these 7740x chips really are a lot of fun. I've been running P95 26.6 at 5.2Ghz @ 1.24v.
