2300 would be a good score @ that speed. Depending ram type / timings.

Basic steps. I test on 5Ghz. I'll even drop cores ie like a 8700K 7700K and then sometimes HT. I compare to other good scores HWbot other processors too.
Why? Less energy. I rule out other factors then, heat bad settings. Vcore 1.3v SA 1.3v IO 1.3v even the most sucky processor can boot that and you can tune fairly hard
    tight timing less maxmem windows.

    As a general rule primary timings. example. 15-15-32. ( tRAS x2 ) +2
Depending if B-die that's all I use here. cas14 tight to get anywhere you need 1.8v. Then cas12 1T can be over 1.9v dram.
Lots of bios settings to push around. No processor is the same, you learn what it likes.

... as Mr Spit says. You find nice settings that go fast. Save a bios profile. Then you can always go back
Avoid making more than x2 changes at a time, then booting. If you are unstable you will not know what caused it.

A R15 Cinebench window. If run in realtime you should have a square in the middle till completion.
If not? It runs on? Usually indicates low Vcore. Unstable. That results lower score :thumbdn:

Thx Shane got a 2304 few posts up, couldn't seem to tighten timings any more than the 16-16-16-32 even with more volts. Will keep your tips in mind.

Intel's IMC is a struggle 16GB anything 3800+ tight mems.
That's why the big OC boys doing Super PI will run a lean XP operating system with 600mb or less maxmem.

You'll find when curious many benchmarks score better like this. Opposite is like Y cruncher, needing most or all ram

Nope  it's your brain, do you control it? Only one who can make you angry is you.
I'll delete my post that's easy. Stop being a dummy spitter when you don't get your own way and grow up

Had the first real chance to play with my new setup. Pretty impressed with Ryzen as it has matured. 3700X, Aorus Pro WiFi, 32GB (4x8) Team Xtreme 4133 C19 at 3600C14.

Am I heading in the right direction? Still trying to work out PBO vs manual. This was 4425mhz all core 3600C14 with everything running.

This chip was untested, just a random from a drawer somewhere.

I spent a little time playing with Ram timings over the weekend and stuff all time on anything else. Important for me is just knowing what my sticks can do before I start spending a lot more time on other boards. Lot ahead of me to show you all.

Quick tests were like 5.2G at 1.32-1.33v to pass, and 1.42v for 5.3g to pass. 5.2G was in the high 70's to low 80's with the little time spent looking at software I haven't updated. My best 9900K was like 5.2G at 1.33v and hitting 90's. This is ES, so when I have a chance to grab a retail too, will know a bit more I guess. On the fence on buying a 10700K in the interim just for reviewing purposes, would rather grab a 10600K which I have no ETA on.

Oh oh oh. I got plenty of bags of sand here.

I only did a couple of runs this morning between sets during my morning workout. Benching while benching if you catch my drift.

would it add more salt in if I said I didn’t even turn the chiller on? Legit not a fan in sight or noise to be heard except a little pump hummmmmm
