I might have to try now. This cpu can’t do 5.4g, and pretty sure 5.3g on water is pushing it. You have me beat for now.

It will boot at 5.5 but won't run R15 at that speed
I really tried to beat you by 1 point but got pissed off and gave up

    Tweaked score - CBr15 - 3590. 3900x @ 4,525Mhz.

Enough to take #1 3900x on HWBOT for AIO (not that there are many of them ).

I was walking past the computer room and saw your post so thought I would have run to get temps for you.
Score is a bit shitty but sure I can do better ;)
    Enjoy

Headin2001 , beat this and you have won fair and square.
    I can't go any higher .
If you do beat it , I want to see temps like you asked me for and I showed .
Just to make sure you are not on LN2 ;)
Pretty sure you can't run your CPU @ 5.5 :D

Cranking an extra 250mhz doesn’t mean you are better.
    Will see.

edit : How much can I beat you by this time? CPU will only do a hair over 5.4G.

maybe we should scale back to remove silicon lottery and chilling from the equation. Gentlemen’s bench at 5G. Must use something during the benchmark for verification of clock speed. Ie, hwinfo64, benchmate? 5003mhz max not 5003.1

Having cold temps and good silicon doesn't mean you are a god at OC. Was a cool morning here, but I did have to pop the chiller down to 13 degrees from the 20 ambient in the loop (only because the CPU has a huge amount of work to do and I don't want to hurt it).

Takes practice, skill and a curbed ego before you can become great. Beating people outclocking you is always so much more rewarding than winning by brute force.

If you want to play max clocks, I have my Single Stage ready.

This is why I liked the efficiency threads of old - particularly 32m :)

    Too much???? lol

Maybe I should pull it back a bit. All seriousness though like JJC mentioned, I'd love to see people do 5GHz Core/5GHz Cache verified runs to compare efficiency (I say verified as I know full well people can't control their ego's and will cheat of course).

This can only help make everyone learn to be better, not just smash out stupid clocks or buy the best binned chips.

3800 c14's -hit me up when you go to sell em (if you do, haha)

use to love the XTU efficiency, been a while since ive been in the clocking game.

Fnished my WC loop with my 3900x, end of the week ill start cranking it, been along time since ive OC'd (kaby lake 7600/7700k0

Back then we all trying for 4000 c12 with 3200 c14 kits! hah

EDIT, not the nicest loop, but had to cram a 280mm and 240mm rads and a d5 pump into an ITX case!
