All shot on nikon d200+Sb600 and sigma 10-20 4-5.6 DX hsm lense.
Most settings were iso 800 with shutter speeds of 2-10. Flash was TTL with reare curtain.

I really gotta work on my post procsessing and I think i have to tweak the distortion abit more for the wideangel so that its not so trippy(any tips? i am using light room 3 with distortion set to defaul 100 then batch sycn)

Had heaps of fun and would love to do this everyweekend. However there are so many club photograhers that it is very hard to get into.

If anyone could hook me up with clubbing and events jobs could you please let me know. Thankyou Very much.

im also a noob but all i can say is up your flash compensation, its a bit dark for the subject.

also get in close, real close if youre going to shoot wide.

Nothing wrong with an ultra-wide, wouldn't really be concerned about distortion unless you had a subject of a few people, in which case you should step back and zoom in. Perspective distortion would be rather minimal at the 16-20mm range.

Which club is this, I think i see my mate lol

Nice shots btw, i like all of them except for the second one of the guy in blue cap and white tshirt... awkward and not very flattering as he looks obese with a piggish jowl.

Very interesting shots, I've not seen any like this before. You certainly have your own style.

If you want more clubbing style opportunities like this: http://www.inthemix.com.au/gallery/sydney then you'll have to sign up and contribute.

I'm looking at that lens myself - hence the interest.

Thank you =] it is Vernadah Bar and the event is called Vanity which is on Saturdays.

That guy with the blue cap was one of the dances, i figured it was a highlight of the event so i put it in showing some form of movement/pose *meh :p

the 10-20 is a great lense. it focuses very fast(not any more since i dropped it =\) . thanks for the link mate i will def look into that.
