Pre ground coffee is a sin.

Jokes aside the grind is one real key element to make any machine work right.

Even a shitty grinders better than pre grind.

    Alright we have decided!

    Breville Bambino
    Breville Smart Grinder Pro

Will wait for a good sale and grab them. Bambino brand new, so hopefully see some sales soon for it.

Thanks for everyone's help. Will post some thoughts when I get.

At the moment the Bambino is $480-500 and the grinder seems regularly around $250.

So I guess all up would hope for around $600-650. But yeah, Bambino is brand new. Might be a little while until a price drop / sale.

    Yeah, definately bargains around.

In this instance it's pretty much that exact product itself, and given its only just out, won't be any around used.

Grinder maybe though. Will keep eye out for a good price on one.

Yes, I think you'd be in for a long wait for that sort of price drop and I think you'd be extremely lucky to get them at that price. The grinder's been around for years, and the price has remained pretty stable. I got mine when Dick Smith's closed down, and even then they didn't give them away. That's ages ago, now.

They are $208 delivered from Bing Lee. It's more the machine.

Grinder can be had for $199 delivered.

    Machine for $455 delivered.

    Pretty decent prices.

Been reading the Bambino manual. Basically has the functions of a bigger machine (albeit more fiddly to get full control), but more option for "just press the button" type thing.

    Excited!

Sick of paying $6 for average and inconsistent coffee.

Ha. Reckon. First beans through it will be Campos Superior blend. I know Campos, and how much I like ith when done right. So will be a way to tell how I'm doing.

Local roaster I'm not sold on one or two of their blends. Will be trying a few thats for sure!

Ordered a Black Bambino (sounds like a coffee) and a Smart GrinderPro.

Hope is with a small amount of testing, can get it so press portafilter in the grinder, auto dispenses right amount, tamp and in machine. Press button, shot comes out right. Press milk button, bam good milk. Easy.
