My desktop computer suddenly stopped working. Got asrock extreme 4 2011 motherboard. Intel 5820k CPU.

I've already replaced the psu. Still reboots after immediate start..it's in a restart loop

Any idea? Do you think the motherboard is gone ?

Sometimes simple things are the cause.
Check to see that the power or reset buttons on the case are not sticking.

Had that issue on an old Lian-Li case where the power button was sticky. Had the exact same symptoms you were describing.
Cleared it out with a can of air-spray and hasn't given me dramas since...

I'll give it a good clean. I highly doubt since it's very clean. Thanks

No I don't even see the screen. It's exactly like this vidoe. Except mine all the fan spins including the psu fan.

Looks and sounds like it's your motherboard.

I thought so. I'll start looking for the used 2011 motherboards.

Reseat the GPU - mine will go into a restart loop or just non-display if the GPU causes a system hard lockup/crash. This happens about once every 3 months all the fans are spinning and lights are there but no display. I have a ASRock Z68 Extreme4.

I would also pull all the RAM and reseat.

Each time your pulling gear make sure to clean up the copper contacts before reseating.

    Also reset the BIOS.

    No beeps or codes?

    Reset BIOS.

Reboot with ONLY CPU and HSF installed. Then add RAM. So forth.

Had this exact thing happen on a X79 Rampage IV Extreme mobo with a 3930K. The motherboard was kaput. Did the same as you changed PSU etc etc still happen.

Ended up chucking the mobo and building a new system lol. Would love to find a X79 board to pair with the 3930k that is just sitting there but hard to come by.

But if you do find a X79 board that'll be your best bet

Any bulging capacitors on the mobo?

    Any funky smells?

I got asrock extreme 4. My brother had the same issue. He ended up buying a new motherboard. I thought I'd still try my luck if any thoughts.

Damn. Unfortunately you're at the stage that you'll need another mobo to narrow it down to either your CPU or current mobo.

Try turning power off at wall then turning it back on and power on system.

Have had this happen before and only thing that worked was that.
