    hi all,

    i got a MSI 694D-Pro A Dual mobo...with the VIA Apollo 133A chipset..

im running win2k and dialup to the net on an external 56K modem..connected to com2

everything runs dandy...except when i try playing a video or flash animation...when i do...ANY modem activity stops! its like..yes i can play that video for ya...but im gonna have to stop downloading whilst i do it... as soon as i stop the video then downloading resumes.... its bugging the crap outta me...

im thinking it has something to do with the mobo...and i remember reading somewhere that the VIA mobo's often have this sort of problem..(ie. it doesn't know where data is coming from or somethin)

    any1 else have similar problems??

the rest of my system specs are as follow if it helps..

    2x P3 700Mhz @903 (it happens when i don't o/c also)
    Seagate Barracuda II ATA66 20Gig
    Noname Geforce2MX 32Meg
    256Mb pc133 ram
    ide zip drive and cdrom
SCSI burner (with Tekram SCSI PCI card)
SCSI scanner (with noname SCSI PCI card)

    cheers

    endless.

Just a shot in the dark. If you have the G-Force set at 4X set it to 2X and see if it still does it.

my geforce card doesn't seem to like 4x, even with fast writes turned off etc its not stable...so im running at 2x already :-(

i have also tried turning off all hardware video acceleration and it still does it...
