Multiple providers, and seamless failover between them, that way, it doesn't matter if one goes out... even if they don't give you an ETA.

I see that in true aspy IT fashion, we've totally destroyed cynical humour with anal retention. Bravo, enterprise crew.

Do I quit my job on the spot today, or just take a mental health day?

You just need to work from home with doggos at your feet. Brings the stress levels right down.

I already do this once a week (albeit with kittens). Doesn't make up for the other 32+ hours in the office, nor the 30+ hours after hours.

Officially looking for a new gig.

For that sweet, sweet honeymoon period, before the crushing reality, that there is no green grass anywhere.

    Settle for mediocrity.

I almost applied for a .gov.au job. Sadly it was only a 6 week contract, otherwise I would have jumped at it.

Dept of agriculture has a whopping big HPC they need a Linuxy/clustery/dispaterchy type person to help with. Recruiters were banging their heads against a wall trying to find someone in Qld for it, which doesn't surprise me.

    Still, only 6 weeks, meh.

DAF in QLD is almost a MSP for many other government departments, just so you're aware.

Think government MSP, for gov only clients... To say things are political, is a gross understatement.
