I have been directed to gov servers before and hit IIS7 systems a few times. Disturbing but not surprising.

If it was IIS 7.5 they're still covered until January 14, 2020 for extended support.

I've recently come across a site that requires IE 10 or lower (apparently compatability mode in IE11 will work), because it's client side scripts are all VBscript.

Filed under "reasons why I make every developer test their shit on a phone".

Pro tip: has nothing to do with "mobile".

Is telstra shitposting still a thing? Like vegemite and boomerangs everyone knows about how hopeless telstra and everyone who works there are.

Sorry, not sorry if anyone if this thread works there. You had a choice in careers and no one was holding a gun to your head. You decided to be useless.

WTF... Hipster IT is use something newer everytime you make a change and preferable different like a new framework or language per change, and stop using the tech when it is no longer a beta or gets too many likes on Github because it is no longer "craft" as in beer!!!

The dozen or so sites I know that use it have no issues with it.

If there's one thing I've learned from the film biz, it's that you gotta keep the suspension of disbelief going at any cost.

Nah to be real, JIRA fucking sucks, it's bloated and slow, it's hard to navigate, it's an old Java EE app that needs a rewrite

Correct, once you assign a due date, removing it is not an option, but if you can't finish your "I can rewrite entire eneterprise system in bullshit short time as a single programer reproducing 1,000s of man hrs in less then 1 week" task, you can always change the due date and add 1,000s of man hours if you have the rights. ;)

    I feel so 1337.
