Ah yes, YouTube, famously home to non-scripted authentic personalities.

Just cause you can find some examples of crap on there doesn't mean there is not tonnes of good and genuine content on there. When they receive 300 hours of video per minute, there is going to be a tonne of shit. Youtube just does a good job of pushing up the content that grabs the attention of the masses, so you have to work a little bit to find the good stuff on there, but it shits all over the likes that mainstream media produce. Find me 1 mainstream show about photography, I don't think there would even be one, I can list half a dozen YouTube channels of quality photography content.

Look, it's true that there's both. Price's law says that to double the volume of good content, we must accept that the bad content will grow by an order of magnitude.

I think what's being said is that YouTube is not the holy grail of perfect content, free from the utterly fake bullshit that plagues all media platforms. But there is at least enormous diversity where you can likely sift through the mountains of faeces and find a decent amount of content you personally like, far beyond the hard-and-fast "rules" of vastly limited alternatives like free-to-air or film.

Me, I just like anything that fucks with the establishment. Because I'm kinda anarchistic like that.

What fucks the establishment today, is either purchased by the establishement, or becomes the establishment tomorrow

If you're unwilling to host hardcore yiffing videos, are you really 'fucking with the establishment'?

Apologies, I forget what's "work safe" when I work on projects like this (warning, underwear commercial ahead):

I'm happy for you to do whatever the hell you like. But my conversation was more about the commercial mainstream jumping from FTA to YouTube. And sorry-not-sorry, but my the numbers your furry kink is still far from commercial mainstream (not wrong or evil, but you're sitting at a percentage market that's even lower than Linux desktops in relative numbers).

The year of the Linux desktop *will* beat the year of furrytube.

Mate... you need new creative people... because I would not have guessed that commercial was for underwear.

You have no idea what it's like having Japanese ad execs as clients. Shit is off the rails.

Meh just the usual protagonists frothing religious bile claiming they are allowed to be bigoted but not allowing anyone else to be biggoted against them for their bigotry.
