As long as I can parse it using powershell on WINE on WSL2 in a virtualbox VM running on a AWS instance.

    Gah,

User rings with question, just for shits and giggles they decided to re-arrange an entire office, and now one of their desk phones isn't working. Now because work initially decided that this office was only going to be a one person office and they didn't want to spend money on the office and wanted to cheap out, i just got a dumb, netgear unmanaged switch that was a 8 port switch that had 4 port POE on it. Great, so fast forward 2 years later when i suggested that since this "one person office" now has 3 people in it, perhaps now is the time to spend some money on it, and get a proper switch, a comms cupboard and get it wired up properly so that we don't have wires along the floor, propped up over shit and just generally an OHS nightmare. Boss's come back with no... anyway back to my story, so the girls redid the office because a change is just as good as a holiday right... (3 more freaken days .... damn it) and one phone doesn't work, so i ask them which port did you plug the phone into, out comes their life story, along with all kinds of other extraneous facts, as well as which port on the PHONE they plugged it into, what color the cable is, everything but which god damn port they plugged it into on the netgear switch, but they could tell me which port on the netgear switch other things were plugged into, as well as other crap i could care less about.

ANyway 30 minutes later, many holds for me to go swear into a cupboard, yes they plugged it into port 5 on the switch, and YES they left the little POE AC Adaptor plugged into the same wall socket but a different phone, rather then move it with the phone it belonged to to power the fucking thing... because they had already exceeded the number of ports that had POE with the number of devices that NEEDED POE....

72 hours 8 minutes left till i'm on holidays...

i have several sites that like to play musical chairs.

it causes me no end of annoyance, because they never just simply swap desks.
oh no. they like to move to empty desks that haven't been patched in and complain at me that now their phone doesn't work and can i come fix it because they need it urgently.
