Growing up in QLD in the 80s/90s I don't remember bogans. I do remember bevans, and hearing about westies from my Sydney relatives.

I reckon bogan came in from Victoria as a national term after being used on a national TV show, Chris Lilley or similar.

Nah bogans in WA during the 80s are as described by shredder.
ACDC, mullets, flannel shirts, db's, V8s etc.

Bevans are a subset of bogans. They're the less functional end of the spectrum.

CUBs are the high functioning end.

Also booners, if you were unfortunate enough to grow up in Canberra in the 80s/90s

Yep, they were bogans here too. Along with chiggers in Hobart after the suburb of Chigwell.

I actually had something a little more 'beer budget' in mind lol.

Looking for a representative boat to post I actually came across a boat I grew up lusting after at the local marina.

    https://www.boatsales.com.au/boats/details/1991-grainger-40/OAG-AD-17327824/?Cr=19

Allegro used to be the local party boat, the sort of boat we always wanted but knew we couldn't afford. Of course it was worth twice as much back then...

Digging up some posts from November 2018. If you follow the discussion further, there's two major camps - one blaming Microsoft for being too trusting (that was me then, and still is now) and one blaming vendors, absolving Microsoft.

Almost a year later, and Microsoft have come around and applied some common sense:

BitLocker now tells drives that claim they can handle their own encryption to go fuck themselves, and does its own crypto instead. Better late than never.

Dealing with configuring software for a docker env, turns out we "fully support" docker but have no internal or external documentation on how it should be configured and it seems hit or miss whether it actually works - today will be a great day to jump out a fucking window
