Happy to fix your computer once you build my deck and mow the lawn.

Mah Grand Pappy used to say "If you're good at something, never do it for Free"

Friends don't ask friends to fix their computers, ergo. If someone asks you to fix their computer, they are by definition NOT your friend.

I, conversely, do a lot of things I'm good at for free. Because fuck capitalist ideals.

And while I'm on the topic of contentious bullshit, DST can kill you:

And while I'm shitposting, a very obvious malware/phising training email did the rounds today. I wonder how many people fell for it?

There's a difference between choosing to do something and giving it (or the benefit of it) to others, than being asked to do something specifically for/by others. The former is infinitely more preferable, I think.

I use Unix Engineer. Then after they ask what Unix is they stop asking me questions.

I'm not sure that many people live their lives according to the rise and fall of the sun as much as they used to.

My Kids go to a School.

And more people are dying of cancer than they used to.

    Correlation = Causation.

We're all rolfing with laughter. Rolfing. Get it.

On a side note. Google can be handy (he pioneeringly discovered). Those times when you can't think of somebody's name, but you know the exact concise phrase necessary to immediately get the Google hit.

Like the time I forgot this guy's name recently in Brexit discussions, or just now, when I was trying to remember the name of this guy so I could mentally inspect his suitability for joke injection.

The position of the sun has little bearing on meeting the needs of society.

Until we get adequate power storage. having the sun in the correct position, during periods of societies peak power demands is a bearing.

Getting quality sleep, so we aren't wandering around in a sleep deprived haze has a bearing.

We teach kids science in school
Science says Teenagers are useless ***** in the morning (moreso than normal)
But changing school hours to something that better suits their learning patterns... madness.

Which is precisely why we don't have DST in QLD. 30+ degrees at bedtime is not a recipe for a good sleep.

Again, the biggest drama with it appears to be other states who can't compensate for our time difference. Nobody here really cares. Quite odd that the loudest complainers are people who don't live here.

30+ degrees any time is bad. Hot weather is ass.
