Sweet. I'm sure I would love getting approached in a social setting where people were complaining to me about the NBN, and I would get the chance to whip out my phone and log a ticket for them.

    Fuck off Janet, I'm drinking.

I just give bad advice. This one guy on the plane asked me how to transfer photos from his old phone to his new one so I recommended he open each photo on the old phone, then photograph it on the new one. He spent the whole flight doing that.

To a certain level. There's increasing pressure on various skin cancer education groups to ease up on their "no sun is best" mantra, as there's an explosion of vitamin D deficient conditions (including, ironically, cancer) as a result of years of their heavy handed marketing.

Supplementation is not the same thing, and we shouldn't rely on it in any case (no different to taking other vitamins in bulk because of a shitty diet).

Stress. Interestingly enough, one of the biggest killers of men (along with suicide, which is frequently related).

And stress comes in many forms. More and more people are reporting being stressed because they have to appear busy 9-5 to fulfil the illusion that they need to keep their jobs. An interesting insight to a heavily automated world.

GP prescribed me some vit D pills last winter, knowing that I wasn't outdoors a lot during that season. 1 pill once per month for 3 months. Can't say I noticed a difference.

Spending some time outside is a lot better.

Thanks to that I now have a sore tongue, having to prevent myself bursting into laughter in the middle of the office (customer site), because fuck having to explain that.

I'm fine with going out in sunlight (briefly) but I live for my pale complexion.

I get the reference to stress but as someone with eczema, it can be exacerbated by stress (in some) but it seemed much like that article was attributing its existence with an office-centric lifestyle which seems inaccurate from my knowledge of the condition.

Telstra had one of these too when I was there, a staff support channel so that people wouldn’t be afraid to tell friends they worked for Telstra.

The average Caucasian needs around 15 minutes of direct (sun on skin) sunlight per day to reach the recommended vitamin D allowances. Darker complexions should double that.

It's a very simple test that can be picked up with a routine blood test to find out if your levels are adequate. Side effects of my cancer medication prevent me from being in the sun too long (I burn easily as a result, which sucks, as I used to love the beach life). I get a vitamin D test every so often to make sure I'm doing OK.
