%100 genuin or your mneoy back garintee!!1
All grey market i imagine.
LOL had a few mins so read https://www.theregister.co.uk/2020/03/06/bofh_2020_episode_5/ and all I could think about was the BOFH was elvis starting this thread.
Haven't read any BOFH for a few years, the current one had me in stitches.
I'd be lobbing that question in the 'not my fucking department' bin.
Seriously it's not your god damn job to work out medical stuff, let them tell you what to do.
70% alcohol will be enough to kill it. Its what we use as part of our SOP for wiping down electrical devices that come back from surgical theaters that may be contaminated with blood borne pathogens.
Most stuff on AliExpress are factories that were hired to do a legitimate job, produced overflow on purpose (nothing nefarious - if the client orders 10M units, you make 20% extra just in case as the cost of manufacturing at scale is far less than the cost of tooling up).
Once the contract is done and the product delivered, you shelve the rest for a year. Once that period is over, you may as well sell it because it's just taking up space.
China has no real concept of copyright and ownership. It's just pure capitalism (ironic, right?).
Amen to that. This is classic corporate "a computer was adjacent to the real problem, therefore we lumped it on IT" bullshit.
The business needs to consult medical professionals on what's the right way forward, and act accordingly.
just like the chinese to take an idea and push it to the absolute limit.
"i caught coronavirus.
i think it came from the laptop.
IT said they cleaned it but i don't think they're doing their job properly.
typical IT laziness."
The thing is, we are literally a "Medical" kind of workplace, with on staff RN's and all....
so let them ask the RN's.
This question literally came from the Head RN Nurse.
Just implementing a work from home plan and looking at our capacity to remote into work for our secure files...
Totally forgot I put in a 500/500 fibre link from one of our partners for an office of 30 consultants ahahaha.. overkill much?
What do they do with other shared equipment?
then refer her back to whatever medical association RN's take their guidance from.
It is not an IT issue, it is a health issue.
What everyone else said: they should have procedures for this. Doesn't matter whether it's desks or pens or any other shit.
I mean, surely they're not asking the person who stocks the stationary cupboard about their policies on shared stationary.
If they don't, are you even a medical mob? lol
That just boggles the mind.
Tell them to ask their CSSD Tech, not their IT guy
YAY Outsourced Web Dev + PR, can't manage a fucking contact us form with ZERO rate limiting + ZERO SPAM/BOT FIltering ... end result 10,000+ Spams coming through thus far. FMD, i just wish we wouldn't use locals, and the sums we pay these idiots is fucking obscene.
Aren't you greylisting at your MTA in 2020?
For starters it goes through trend HES filtering first, and secondly this is a legit mail server, hosted by our web dev mob, who then onforwards them to us. Its their pisspoor implementation and security setup that is the real issue. And given its a legit third party server, it would merely accumulate in their queue and retry.

This is straight up punishment for any org that doesn't invest in better technology than the over used and constantly abused no-longer-a-spreadhseet-tool tool.
