Why do you need DP1.4 for 1440p? DP1.3 supports 4k, no?

FWIW I couldn't get my HP EliteBook 840 G6's USB-C port to work at all on my BenQ EX3501. I ended up just sticking with my HP TB G2 dock, as it has network etc too, even though it likes to randomly drop the display for a split second for no reason at all.

I have dual monitor. Dp1.2 only gives me 1080p on both. If I want 1440p on my primary I get only 30hz on my secondary 1080p

I have a 4650u lenovo t14s and I do wish it could be my work machine.

I use a W520 with DP1.1 using Nvidia 1000M doing 1440p @60Hz via DP and 1080p @60Hz direct to laptop screen. Not sure what the Intel HD3000 does, however the 4650u has a HD5000 integrated, according to Intel has a max 3200x2000@60Hz.

Have you set the shared memory of the graphics card in BIOS to min = max and set to max avail.

I'm assuming it's an external display and the limitation likely is with the USB-c DP alt-mode not the GPU.

I'm envious that you hadn't yet come across that level of Internet nonsense.

And now I'm sorry you have.

I avoid 'social' media, it's the safest way to avoid the worst of people.

seems a distinctly American problem too. funny about that, America is in a terrible place. needs a grown up too look after them again, independence hasn't worked.

America has an institutional attitude of doing things differently, even to their own detriment when what they're discarding is better than their chosen alternative. effectively Australia's 2-party political system but at an international level.

Yep and its my work comet lake oven not my personal AMD laptop. Checked the specs, DP1.2 via USB-C only which tops out at 2x 1080p.

worse they're exporting their retardation. Observe the retards protesting the VIC lockdown today with... American flags. No prizes for guessing what kind of Q bullshit they have been infected with. Because we're English speaking we're first in the firing line, observe how it tipped Brexit over the line.

I don't think it just affects us on-prem holdouts, would also affect those with hybrid environments if the management server is in any way exposed to the internet.
Also not just exfil - can be used to get a reverse shell on your exchange server with SYSTEM rights which could lead to ransomware, data exfil for non-email data, or an APT type attack. Hell, given that Volexity have noted this has been getting compromised since January and it has the hallmarks of a nation state attack, I'd be suprised if it hasn't been used for APT.

I've been an Exchange admin/architect for about 10 years. I've *never* seen MS push as hard as they are for people to patch. I'd say that this is 110% fucking people right now.

As a general note - Last time i did the numbers, I needed about 10k users to beat Exchange Online for infra/maintenance cost whilst giving similar levels of performance and redundancy. This number is probably more or less the same - but now ExO > Ex2019 in terms of features/integration.

Genuinely un-resolvable data sovereignty/privacy problems is basically the *only* reason you should run Exchange on-Prem. Think Secret and above Defence Orgs. No, you're not a special snowflake.
