Only sad donkeys. You convert to happy donkeys by dangling a carrot on a stick.
Don't use a 5 year old MGE UPS.
Or at least replace the batteries.
Flew up to Sydney this morning (need to work out one of our businesses up here for two days) and I couldn't even get off the plane due to freakin POTHOLES in the runway, stopping us from even making it to the terminal.
WTF is wrong with you Sydney peeps up here?!?
Its sort-of IT Rant related
What? Involves Tranportation?
Awesome. Another thing to fix.

Use AustPost next time?

Carrot you say?

I have heard of someone that had AAPT for years before the iiNet buyout who was happy with their service.
Was with AAPT up until the floods in Brisbane in '11.
I don't think I've laughed that hard this week. Nor has the rest of the team.
SPE Round up of info.
I tend to lose my mobiles just before the battery goes flat so they can never be found again
My phone resides in silent mode. I actually forgot about the mute switch it had, and thought it was broken for a half-day. Still, 8 days stand-by out of an iPhone 5 is pretty good.
This is so true. As much as I shudder to make this call: independent IT workers need a body like a union to interceded between sys admins and the businesses that think they can mitigate their IT risk at the cost of their employees social, mental and monetary wellbeing.
Because let's face it. most IT people aren't good with this sort of thing
