You could always try steam home streaming for Unreal based stuff.

Question - how are you cooling the passive heat sinks?

    Picture here

Seriously though, just picked up one of these from Natex, mainly as it has a lot of RAM already. Going to go through comGateway for postage, just waiting for the deliveries. For those who are interested about $625 shipped to comGateway. They estimate about $50USD so probably about $700 landed here.

Also picked up an I/O shield as these don't come with them from Amazon.com for around $15. Postage was going to be about $300 from Amazon so going to go through comGateway, hopefully at the same time.

I'm going to look at putting on some aftermarket coolers on, not sure if anyone has any suggestions but I'm going to wait for my board to measure everything up.

Tossing up case (either the Norco 470 I already have) vs getting something with SAS back planes to use with the 15k drives I currently have.

I used be quiet! Pure Rock coolers as seen in my mid build pic here: they are really nice and only $45 a pop.

I saw that pic earlier. Looks like it doesn't block any of the slots which is good.

If you bought the board from Natex. Keep in mind, the above is a different board.

    That's the ASRock EP2C602.

The board from Natex is the Intel S2600CP. I've used 2 of these Phanteks PH-TC12LS Low Profile CPU Cooler for mine. They worked really well. They have a very small footprint and are easy to install if space is tight (Mines in a 3U server chassis so had to be low profile).

However I'd imagine almost any cooler would fit. They are well spaced. Except for maybe the really large ones...

    I can't see you getting 2 Nofan CR-100A on there.... :lol::lol:

Nice. Fortunately I relocated to the US last year, so postage isn't a problem
Not too worried about noise, will run this from the work DC so I don't have to fork out for power either. Just need to decide on a case and amount of cash to throw at storage...

Didn't notice it was a different board.... I'll have a look at mine when it gets here but good to hear there is lots of space.

Top link doesn't work for me but the 2nd option is tempting... Asus Z9PE-D16C/2L with 16 DIMM slots for ~$375, that's got to be the cheapest we've seen for anything Asus, and cheaper than most of the other 16-slot boards amirite?

    Thx for the link

Now we just need a flood of mother boards to soak them up.

My X79 board came today and it seems to have a bonus CPU, not sure what it is though, from some Googlefoo it looks to be a 6 core Xeon but maybe someone here knows?

Either way, I'll be selling it once my 2670 gets here :)
