the VO guy is probably max from max payne.
Im watching CohhCarnage stream it now - just started - with his copy from remedy
gonna hold out till i get mah hands on it LUL
its out on epic launcher
fyi if you have an 5700XT they have a new driver which is supposed to increase performance by 10%
EDIT: The ray tracing is pretty AF.
Apparently 2080ti with rtx on as low as 45fps at 1080p no thanks!
I think game is even capped at 60fps? Double no thanks. Hopefully can be overridden without issues.
Can anyone confirm? It's so hard to google 'control' and '60fps' and get anything to do with the actual game.
Watching the reviews for this, this game looks like one of the most painfully generic games in years.
it reminds me quite a lot of Quantum Break visually and i really enjoyed that.
In other news it looks like this got a 0 day. eek.
Lucky they got all that epic loot to fall back on.
I dont have 20 mins haha elaborate for me
5-7 is performance discussion.
i have DLSS enabled in this game and it sits over 90fps for the most part. with DLSS off it sits around 60 and dips here and there.
EDIT: That's with RT ON maxed out. the edges are slightly blurry with DLSS on but not enough for me to cry over it.
On your 1070?
update sig time..
So I tried with my rig @ 1440p 'high' preset both DX11 & DX12 and FPS were around 60 average.. medium brings up to 75fps. Was moments I was in higher fps but noticed stuttering too.
Also seems to be a motion blur you cant disable? I dont mind it as it makes the lower fps seem better.
Interesting game so far, but maybe not best port to PC.
apparently adding the game to the exploit exception list in windows 10 helps with allieviating stuttering...
1. hit windows key and find "exploit protection"
2. go to the program settings tab
3. add program to customise > add the file path to control_dx12.exe
4. look for 'control flow guard'
5. check 'override system settings'
6. turn off and save.
OK, I think that didn't work cos it was stuttering heaps during combat. But I pulled through and finished the main story line and it's nice they let you run around post game to finish off any missions not started.
I'm about halfway through the game now and truly is one of the best looking games I have played! Playing it on anything less than full RTX will not give you the best experience!. HOWEVER, that being said.. we are so accustomed to real world shadows and glass reflections, it's hard to imagine how prior games kind of gotten away without RTX.
In terms of performance, I'm running this on 2080ti with Ryzen 2700x. My settings at the moment are 4K with DLSS 1440p on, everything else 100% maxed out. This gives me anywhere from 49-59fps, with a freesync/g-sync monitor, this isn't really an issue! I could drop to DLSS 1080p but then I don't want to lose fidelity.
All in all.. the combat is repetitive but interesting, story so far is curious and captivating... Well worth it to experience it with RTX..
the upgrade path for the piercer is bugged atm even though i finished all 28 missions.
it'll be a while till dlc is avails.
