CoolerMaster 90CFM @ 19dBA

I found these Coolermaster 120mm fans on pccasegear they claim to push 90CFM at only 19dBA.

Doesn't that noise/CFM ratio seem a bit hard to believe?

Has anyone used these fans?

You've posted 3 times in this thread and managed to say nothing at all!


How do they compare to other fans? What do they sound like running at full speed? Did you just use them as case fans, or did you try them on a heat sink as well? If so which one? What were temps like?

 

Provide proof that you bought them?

 

I used them in the Antec 1200
For the side intake, and dual exhaust
They were alright, definately not 90cfm and around 25dB+

Ok that's a start... Now compare them to the tri cools that you started with in the 1200. Quieter? Louder? More or less airflow?

 

More airflow by a reasonable amount with around the same amount of noise as the tri cools on low
Thats right, the 4th one I had to cool the GPU (where has that gone?)

 

Ok well that's pretty good then, because those tri-cools are rated at 79cfm @ 30db. So apart from the noise rating being BS (they always are anyway), sounds like the specs aren't too far off.

It's not so much that they're outright lying, as is they have their own way of measuring how loud the fans actually are.

The difference between a 19dB fan and a 28dB fan could be as simple as how far away from the fan they are when they take the measurement. It's still a rip off of course, but technically they aren't lying to you...

 

But by that standard, fans could vary all over the joint - meaning no point of CFM in the first place
A unit of * cant vary everytime someone wants to measure something

 

no they dont push 90 cfm no where near i got 2 for my mates cpu cooler and they dont push 90
