I'm pretty sure the NDA is up now I've had this chip since Monday so I'll post some numbers here. These are all at stock

    Setup:
    Core i3 530
    2x2GB Kingston DDR3 1333
    DFI MI P55 T36
    NVIDIA GT240
    750GB Samsung F1 SATA HDD
    Windows 7 Ultimate x64

    Stock 133x22 = 2.9Ghz

Funnily enough this CPU is able to match the Phenom II 965 in Dhrystone after some mild overclocking

Multi-Media benchmark figures for the i5 650 as listed here in Sandra 2010 seem a little too low - Chainbolt's figures of 94.5 / 71.3 for his ES i5 661 seem to be much more reasonable

Thank's for posting the benchmarks. How is overclocking? 2.9@3.5 GHz was certainly not the end of the road, or?

I did that by accident actually - DFI is using a AMI BIOS now instead of Award so when I was booting it up last night to figure out the quick boot selection menu (which is Esc on my DFI DK P45 T2RS btw) I mashed all the F buttons and landed on F10 (which auto loaded a 160Mhz i7 profile). Granted, the profile seemed pretty stable but it crashed on PCMark so I suspect its not 100% there yet.

When I figure out which heatsink will fit in a SG05 with this particular board I might try going higher

well, PCMark is a real "crasher". I would be really interested to see what you can do with additional core and qpi voltage.

Me too but the BIOS is still kind of premature at the moment imo - I can't get my Logitech Illuminated keyboard working during POST and BIOS lol I have to connect up a PS/2 keyboard to get into BIOS atm. Also, someone fried their board with 1.4V. In response to this DFI is limiting some of the options. The VRMs also seem to get a bit hot I might get some heatsinks on them too

Seems to be fairly decent performance from that chip even at Stock.

I may not be reading it right but it is beating a i5 650?

At 3.5Ghz it seems to be the case (the second set of charts is i5 650 with Turbo enabled)

That's amazing how it compares to an E8600 at stock. One of those, with a GA-H55M-UD2H and 4GB RAM would be an amazing high performance HTPC or basic browsing machine for under $430 for MB/CPU/RAM combo. Nail in the coffin for LGA 775 :)

I am going to build a Ubuntu desktop machine with one of these! :)

These have all appropriate virtual extensions? Probably run a VM with Windows 7.

Hmm. Shit lol I didn't notice I was looking at the QPI Link. That doesn't really explain the numbers tho
