4090 is september release. and the others the next months....
3 months ish. inda future.
just wait until the 5090ti and 8900xtxh are pushing 2kwatt and 10k msrp thanks miners
Miners don't drive prices up.
Scalpers and gougers do.
well the solution of waiting 3-4 years every second gen to buy outdated stuff isnt a solution either, at this point either intel apple or someone else swoops in and undercuts china (lol) geee tis almost liek having the worlds biggest monopoly wouldlead to this
Wow and I'm banned from replying here get stuffed you bait me into a corner and ban me? Ha
just reflecting on what Actually Happened. but it's all good now <3 free markets are vunderbar.
it will probably be cleaned up by the cleaners.
as for the arc gpu's going off the article posted previously. it seems they are targetting China, who , I've read, still have an internet cafe scene. I remember those things back in the early noughties in brisvegas. quite the phenomenon. for a brief period of time.
Instead of watching a scary movie i think a trip to China would give me the same scary thrill.
a prolific miner (not sure if he's on here, i wont name him, but he'll know who he is) who's always selling overpriced GPUs on facebook had a 3070 eagle up for sale on ebay at $799 (was specifically looking for this model as i needed a true dual-slot model for a build). i suggested if he dropped it to $750, i'd bite with the afterpay 10% off code that they had last week. he wasn't interested and tried to haggle with me. i went and bought a new one for $730 from futu with their 22% off ebay sale instead.
now he's got it listed for $649.
Deleted more low-quality posts, applied some thread reply bans. Carry on.
First of the EOFY GPU deals I've seen so far @ BPC Tech - $1269 GB bundle:
- Gigabyte RTX 3080 Vision 10GB + Gigabyte P850GM Gold PSU + Gigabyte Aorus RGB DDR4 16GB (2x8) 3733Mhz
PSU goes for $100 new, RAM ~$130
Might need to spend an extra $4 when using that PSU.
Decent deal for sure but only ddr4 though
Should be some good Afterpay deals around August if people can wait it out.
That's a very significant shift. I wonder why they're bundling so much with the card.
To move old stock of 'smaller' power supplies on the older spec. There are strong rumours that the 4000 series of nVidia GPUs and equivalent AMD GPUs will be significantly more power-hungry again, as will the components required to keep Ryzen 7000 series CPUs with the move to ATX12VO.
Also Some gigabyte PSU's copped some very negative reviews from gamersnexus a while back, so they're probably slow sellers.
That's actually smart sneaky af. Sell you a 3080 with a PSU that is minimum spec, knowing if you stump for a next-gen GPU it will be a 4080 or higher... and therefore need a whole new PSU.
given GBs attitude of late,
would not rule out that those are "refurbished" PSUs from their recent recall of that model
the offer; https://au.aorus.com/event-detail.php?i=2210
the recall; https://www.gigabyte.com/Press/News/1930
the reason for recall;
100% they would have way too much stock of that model atm either way
yes the 850w's have a bad rep even though they resolved the issue.
But in this case its likely a manufacturer promo (note the 3x items are all Gigabyte) rather than from the retailer specifically
Wrong, it's the market that determines the price. Not scalpers or gougers. Scalpers can ask whatever they want, but ultimately the person/people paying the prices determine the market value.
A lot of higher end ones are coming up on the forums here. At what prices are people going to bite or are most people waiting to see what happens with the 40 series and how much more prices will drop.
Yeh last month there have been numerous reports out of China (for whatever thats worth) of mass popup GPU stalls/auctions (prob some graves too ).
For the GPUs or for the miners after looking at their profitability reports?
Seen a few cards re-listed with lower prices this week and still looks like they're not getting bites. Down we go.
