    with over 200 extra precision made bits on the shroud, none of which are touching and so don't actually do anything......

    and a button on the side of the card for a 1 click overlock boost... like people have the sides off their cards readily accessible to press a button that only takes the overclock to 1860mhz

    As someone who last bought a GPU when the 1080 Ti first came out & thought the price back then was absurd ($1300, haven't been paying any attention to the market since), and now wants to upgrade for BF2042:

    What. The fuck.

    The card is not targeted at us.There are whales out there that will build new machines every month for shits and giggles.

    1080ti is still a beast and punching above its weight, if you can live with 60fps in some titles then the 1080ti will carry at 1440p for some time yet.

    Graphics cards are not going to get cheaper... 600W will be available in the next PCIe 5 connector;

    man how naive i was thinking that when the 3000 series came out all there would be is the 3060, 3070, 3080, 3090.

    the confusing naming conventions where done for etc.

    now we have a possibly 3090ti coming out.....

    Its so Nvidia can take the rasterization performance crown back.

    6800 beats 3070 = 3070ti released to edge out the 6800
    6800xt beats 3080 = 3080ti to edge out the 6800xt
    6900xt beats 3090 = 3090ti to edge out the 6900xt

    If AMD flopped with RDNA2, I don’t think nvidia would have released these Ti cards.

    I think the data is warps, because of the lack difference between FHR and LHR cards..

    hmmm the msrp for the various NVIDIA cards in australia are, with the cheapest in stock.. listed afterwards and the percentage increase over MSRP
    Ifnoramtion using Discord Aus Prices for the 11th October 2021

    RTX3090 = $2429 - $3399 - 140%
    RTX3080ti = $1920 - $2389 - 124%
    RTX3080 = $1139 - $2099 - 184%
    RTX3070ti = $959 - $1629 - 176%
    RTX3070 = $809 - $1399 - 172%
    RTX3060ti = $688 - $1099 - 159%
    RTX3060 = $529 - $888 - 167%

    these prices are for the cheapest cards .. any decent card is going to be a lot more expensive..

    Old cheaper stock is disappearing and new most expensive stock is arriving.. and you can't blame the miners...

    Not at resolutions that make sense for those cards.

    various companies are also hoarding semi conductors. so i've read. (like the toilet paper hoarders).

    you can always 'blame' hoarders for taking a larger share and increasing scarcity. it is a basic law of supply, supply limitations and scarcity.

    suppliers, disties, shippers. all taking their piece of the price.

    At 1440p it does? Particularly when the 6800XT has increased performance since launch

    As tourism and travel spending goes back up, you'll find this problem slowly goes away...

    6600 (non XT) pre-orders are going up (or in some cases already Sold Out!).
    From very initial benchmarks the performance is apparently less than the 3060 - https://www.forbes.com/sites/antony...6600-vs-nvidia-rtx-3060-which-should-you-buy/

    But the pricing (relative terms) is interesting given how much 3060's are going for. The PCCG pre-orders which sold out were for $569 - https://www.pccasegear.com/products/55727/powercolor-radeon-rx-6600-fighter-8gb-rdna-2

    Examples:
    https://www.pccasegear.com/products/55727/powercolor-radeon-rx-6600-fighter-8gb-rdna-2 - $569 (sold out)
    https://www.pccasegear.com/products/55868/msi-radeon-rx-6600-mech-2x-8gb $609 (sold out)
    https://www.centrecom.com.au/gigabyte-radeon-rx-6600-eagle-8g-graphics-card - $609 (sold out)
    https://www.jw.com.au/gigabyte-rx-6600-eagle-8gd-graphics-card-542141 - $609 (sold out)
    https://www.pccasegear.com/products/55865/gigabyte-radeon-rx-6600-eagle-8gb $609 (sold out)
    https://www.pccasegear.com/products/55726/powercolor-radeon-rx-6600-hellhound-8gb-rdna-2 - $699

    The other links which aren't sold out yet might already be by the time I post (or soon after). i.e. Check stock levels before you plan to order.

    The point of the post is more to get a ballpark of where the release prices were for these cards in AU at launch.

    It'll be interesting to circle back in a month or 2 to see what happens to these prices. i.e. When the 6600XT came out initially there were some pre-order sales as well, but now the prices have since gone up considerably.

    Edit: JW one is sold out as well now.
    Edit2: PCCG card links above other than the $699 (at the time of writing) are sold out now as well

    #Pre-order scramble

    Powercolor/pccg aren't even trying to do a teaser MSRP card (~$495 for the 6600) this time around. w00t.
