Preparation: 5 mins Serves: 8 Cooking Time: 90 mins Ingredients: • 6 Potatoes - peeled & thinly sliced • 8 Rashers of Bacon - sliced • 2 large Brown Onions - diced • 3 fresh grated cloves garlic • 1 tbsp Olive Oil • 300ml Bulla Thickened Cream • 1/2 cup Full Cream Milk • 2 eggs • 2 tsp Onion Powder • 1 tsp fresh cracked black pepper • 2 tsp salt • 1 cup Grated Cheese - Tasty & Parmesan works well • 1 cup breadcrumbs Method: 1. Remove the rind & dice your Bacon, Slice Onion very thinly. 2. Cook them in a fry pan with 2 tbsp Olive Oil and some grated garlic over a medium heat for 8 - 10 mins until the onions are nice and soft. 3. Meanwhile, begin to grate your cheese and THINLY slice the 6 peeled potatoes. 4. layer the ingredients into any oven proof bowl. • Potato • Onion & bacon mix • repeat until you have run out of ingredients. 5. Place the eggs into a large bowl and whisk lightly. 6. Stir to combine the Bulla Thickened Cream, Milk, Onion powder, black pepper & salt. Taste for seasoning. Ideally it should be slightly too salty as it will become 'less so' when eaten with the potato mix. 7. Cover with foil and bake for 60 Mins @ 180 deg C Remove and add grated cheese & bread crumbs Return to the oven with out the foil for 25 - 30 mins more, until the texture is slightly browned and crisp to the touch. Let sit for 15 mins to cool before serving.
