The unfortunate thing is we are going to have to wait almost a year to receive it :(

The next year is going to go very slowly!

I've been holding out for a Star Wars/Clone Wars style version of Total War, but this will work! I wonder if they also considered a LOTR version?

Also, I'm sure most people will be thinking "cool, awesome large scale battles", myself included. But how are they going to manage the city building aspect? I have only scratched the surface of Warhammer lore, but I haven't seem much talk about the cities etc, it all seems focused on the fighting.

two of my favourite game IP's in one. [no emoticon can do this justice]
like pizza, even if it's bad, it'll still be good.

TW: Rome II & TW: Warhammer 40K, i guess i won't be leaving my house for a month when released.

there are already a couple of very decent (complete) mods for LOTR based one the TW:R engine. i think there is also on based on the Medieval II engine as well. check out...

wondering how they are going to differentiate this title from all the others without it feeling like a glorified mod.

unit balancing (empire cannons, unique units) is certainly going to be interesting! Hope like hell they will have the magical units as it will be one of the best ways to make this unique.

very much looking forward to this!

    Wow.
I hope its Fantasy and not 40K. I think Fantasy would lend itself towards the Total War style of easier than 40K would.

It has been confirmed that it's fantasy, not 40K.

Of course, THQ won't necessarily be holding those rights for much longer, so it could be interesting to see what happens when somebody else gets their hands on the franchise.

I don't care about lotr total war anymore.

Third age fellowship campaign is awesome, and lotr-Rw has best gameplay, though at least third age fixed some of the cavalry charge bugs.

This is going to be amazing, lets hope they do the whole world, not just one area such as the empire/chaos conflict.

Hopefully it'll be similar to Warhammer Dark Omen. That game was pretty awesome.
