Bow reminds me of Turok. After Crysis2 i'll avoid Crysis 3, especially if its set in the city again and dumbed down for consoles.

Maybe that's a thermal nuclear tipped arrow did you ever think of that!!!?? :upset:

Seriously tho when has crysis really ever been about the story or to make sense? More like get shit blown up while trying to look as sparkley on screen as it could.

Yes, but the original still shits on Crysis 2 in that aspect :)

I agree the original was bomb! Let's hope they have analyzed where and why they went wrong.

if the trend of the previous two continues crysis 3 should look like mario carts 64.

For me, this is what killed it:

Strike One: Launching the game with DX9 only (remember that crysis had become synonymous with uber graphics)

Strike Two: Compromising the gameplay and technology in order to get higher profits due to having it on more platforms (Think crysis. Volumetric/3D skybox, realtime cutscenes, awesome suit gameplay. Think Crysis 2, static 2d skyboxes, pre-rendered cutscenes, corridoor shooter syndrome)

Strike Three: Claiming it would be the original Crysis and better. It wasn't.

I pre-ordered that turd of a game. I played the beta (multiplayer) and thought "surely the singleplayer won't be like this" - how wrong I was...

I've snorted Parker Quink and sneezed onto a notepad and come up with stories more coherent than Crysis 2.

I didn't mind the environment in Crysis 2, it was the linearity of it that sucked. And all the things mentioned above with the dumbing down of it for a console market.

I would love to see them do something similar to STALKER in terms of the world. If it's a completely flattened/destroyed New York City, that could make for some really snazzy environments.

But due to this, we can only dream.

Jizzing in pants at work is not cool...
Crysis games copped a lot of slack for gameplay from people but i thought they were amazing, cannot wait for number 3...

I had a stupid grin on my face when i finished Crysis 2 first time.

Then my second playthrough i stealthed through the whole thing :/

Not a bad way to waste 8 hours. But the linear corridor shooter ruined it. At least in Crysis 1 you could create your own paths (bush bash through the jungle anyway you want, and infiltrate the beach town) and reach the objective.

Maybe they'll send alien battleships like a certain movie right now...
Shit they should have cross-promo'd crysis 3 and have Prophet fight the aliens in his nanosuit in THAT movie.

Perhaps, I'm the only one here who liked C2 over C1. I really enjoyed C1 but at some point repetitive tasks "go to a camp and read something from a secret laptop" got me bored a bit.

I played C2 with DX11 and high-res textures patches unlike many so maybe this is what made the difference in visual perception. IMO C2 is better looking than C1.

Hopefully, they will be able to keep that sandbox experience from C1 in C3.

I agree I was more a fan of C2 than C1 also. Also with DX11 and high-res textures it looked amazing.
