I recently finished off implementing a CUCME phone system for a client and my engineer has basically said that when you use Extension Mobility users cannot have their own local speed dial numbers.

I find it a little hard to believe that Cisco would overlook such a commodity!

Could someone clarify whether this is true or not?

I figured you would be able to setup speed dial entries in the users profile somewhere, that way when they log in they would be given to them, but apparently this isn't the case?

The only solution he mentioned is setting local speed dial per ephone using something like:

    Code:
    ephone 1
    fastdial 1 00296001234 John Smith
    The issue with this is:

    • It sets the local speed dial to the physical phone
    • It has to be done by the administrator

Whilst it isn't that big an issue if the speed dials are static to the physical phone, it would be nice if users could add their own.

Any input would be appreciated. Thanks guys.
