    Hey everyone,

I'm having a bit of a weird issue I'm hoping to get some opinions on it.

The issue is I'm getting horizontal latency in games. So far only siege.
If I look up and down it's mostly fine, but left to right stutters and feels like it's being dragged through mud.

I chucked up the fps counter and was getting 110-144 frames consistently, but it still occurred.

I then enabled free to 2 frames and the issue went away. I'm down to 72 frames now which is a bit annoying since I have a Freesync monitor and don't need VSync.

Let me know your thoughts on why this might be occurring.

My only suspicion is it could be a cpu thing?
I have a quick cpu, but it only has 2/4 cores threads (i3 7350k)

    Cheers

    CPU - Core i3 7350K
Motherboard - Asus Z270i Strix Gaming
    GPU - AMD Vega 64
    RAM - G.Skill Trident RGB 3200Mhz
PSU - Seasonic Prime 650W Platinum

The issue can only really relate to the chipset, CPU or PSU as I was running on an i5 4690K borrowed off a friend before.
Using those with a GTX 780, same SSD and differnet PSU it was fine.

Rebuilt with the new CPU, PSU and a Z270G Strix M-ATX board and issue started,

Figured it could be GPU, but continued even after I bought my Vega.

Most likely guess is CPU is bottle-necking for some reason, and having the GPU pre-render 2 frames is relieving the CPU of some of it's load, but it's hard to confirm.

I'm not planning on getting another Intel based system and right now am waiting on Asus to release an AM4 version of the board I am using so I can buy a Ryzen processor and ditch the blue and green teams for good.

    Monitor make and model?

    GPU and monitor ports used?

Display port, but also occurred on a 60hz LG 1080p monitor over DVI using a GTX 780.

    So you see my confusion.
The only consistent part is the Z270 chipset with the i3.
But I'm still getting maxed out frames, so I'm just confused.

I'm a bit confused your title says cursor stuttering? Is it your cursor icon that is stuttering, is it the cursor in windows doing it, or the cursor in the games menu? Or is it stuttering in games ie fps drops as your looking left and right?

Doing it in any other games?

Also what version of windows are u running?

It's looking left to right in games, don't play anything other than siege unfortunately. I'm running Windows 10, and not a frame rate issue as the frames stay rock solid at 144 when it is occurring.

Occurred on my previous monitor though, so I don't think the monitor or GPU are a factor.

Looks like a issue with siege? Do they have support or forum maybe someone there could help?

I assume its Rainbow Six Siege? I did a quick google for Rainbow six siege mouse stuttering lots of results with people having same issue.
