Dude, i love it, sabertooth make over :p

The hardcore peeps will complain about capturing heat between the sheet and the PCB but who cares when it looks mad! cuts were a bit wonky though lul but still cool regardless.

Im actually making one of these out of perspex for my new build and was just going to wrap it in 3M vinyl for looks but your legit CF does the trick too.

I got the CF from ebay for 35$ delivered.
Its a good move using perspex first, I had a hell of a time getting accurate measurements. At least if you had the perspex made up you could use it as a stencil.

    Completely agree about the cuts,
I used a dremel by hand, definately need to find a better method for the job. Jigsaw is too harsh and the blade isn't fine enough.

The board sits 150mm from the main board. My thermostats reported 0 degrees temperature increase from before the shroud was fitted.
If you are concerned about heat do the same as I did and fit a couple of extra thermostats under the shroud near the chip set and processor. (I have removed them now 2 weeks after the installation).

I think heat build up on main boards mostly occur from the chip set. In this instance I didn't cover or obstruct any existing heat sinks that are on the main board, I recommend you avoid covering anything that expels heat.

    Final tip,
Try to cut your perspex as a single piece, this is tricky and requires you to really map out your cuts. Masking tape is good to draw on.

If you end up doing it post your pictures, always good to see other peoples efforts.
