The evolution in mechanics from 1, to 2 and the 3 was exponential imo. To the point you just can't really go back to the first game now.

I can go back to 1 because it feels like a retro game now, but Witcher 2 feels like an early alpha of 3 - which sucks because it was actually a great game

So I don't generally like this guy's videos but the thread is about sharing information, not our personal taste and he seems to have a lot of good information.

    TL;DR
    • Will have multiplayer (later)
    • DLC will be free (up your arse, EA)
    • Will also have paid expansions (EA is nervous that this will be bigger than every game they have ever made combined)
That was all in the video title but there isn't really much more information.

Just saw the live demo at PAX. The level of detail is something else. Highlight might have been a strength build character walking to a mounted turret, ripping the gun out and mowing down dudes with it. Good times.

I don't think their showed off any ray traced version (RTX) of the game yet? should be interesting once they do.

Imagine waiting 7 years for Star Citizen, and then Cyberpunk 2077 comes out and you realise people are already releasing games that are better than SC will ever be.

CP'77 was also announced in 2012 , a year after Star Citizen started development... and they didn't even actually leave pre production until after TW3 and it's expansions were done lol

Star Citizen devs been making regular trips to the Bahamas with backer money

The trailer that arrived about 6 months later in early 2013 was more advanced than Star Citizen is now.

As much as a 5 month delay sucks it's great to see a developer not just release and fix via patches. Makes me even more excited to play this game.

Also I think a later release might mean the Nvidia RTX 3000 series cards are out for those of us who hate money :leet:

No loss ultimately. Gives me more time to wrangle Doom Eternal and The Last of Us 2.

I think I caused this. Yesterday I bought a 3900X to start my upgrade on the way to April 16.

My bad guys. I won't purchase hardware to play a game until after it is realeased.

i'm actually secretly happy because I'm pretty sure nvidia will have new GPU's out by Sept i don't want to buy a 2080Ti I don't think it offers enough over my 1080Ti.

While I am disappointed (and have now moved my holidays at work already) I am already kind of looking at the same silver lining. 2080Ti doesn't offer enough over the 1080Ti but a 3080Ti (or whatever) might be different.
