2nd Night City Wire episode coming out at 3am on Tuesday Morning. More info about lifepaths, weapons and the music.
One interesting thing that I don't think is bought up in the lifepaths trailer is that you can start as one lifepath and then move into another. And that there are apparently certain things in the game that you might gain or lose in terms of storyline & interactions by doing so. Like staying Corpo the whole way is different to starting Nomad then moving towards Corpo. It'll be interesting to see how this work in practice.
In the table top game your lifepath determined quite a lot of things. It basically determined how you got to where you were when the game started and game the GM things to bring into the story. Past romances, gains, losses, contacts, friends, enemies, etc. It was designed to help you generate a backstory so that when you were playing it felt a bit more real. This is the Family Background part of it from the core Cyberpunk 2020 rulebook.
I think 'rona is the easiest one currently. Maybe somebody hack could have them ala. Naughty Dog, do a whole plot dump and then force the release forward again?
Wouldn't get this from any other developer... i just want to tell CDPR how I'm feeling, ya know? But still, I won't be giving them up.
