I'm tempted to just get the PS4 copy of this to play on PS5 because I honestly CBF with PC gaming at the moment... but then I remembered the FPS aspect and how much I hate thumbstick aiming... hmmmm Supposedly a 5700xt will run it at 1440p 60fps easily so a hardware upgrade isn't necessary... decisions. Actually my mate bought it on GOG... that makes this an easy one
Collectors editions were only for consoles?? Wonder how the performance will be for those plebs like me still stuck on older gpus like my 1080ti...want to upgrade but nothing is in stock. My wallet has a serious case of blue balls atm... lol
Giant bright yellow image above indicates that your 1080ti will be fine. Whether the performance target for their recommendation is 30 or 60fps I don't know.
Yeah just a matter of what settings need to be gimped in order to hit 60fps. Not too worried about the rtx eye candy...sadface that performance will probably be below next gen consoles though.
I'll be playing on an RX580 @ 1200p. Going by that table above, I should be ok. Collector's editions were out for all formats. Just sold out in about 3 seconds on PC.
I curious to see how Ray tracing impacts the FPS. I hope there's a benchmark they put in the game so we can dial in the settings instead of having to twiddle with them in-game. I'm sure I can tweak the settings to hit 160hz but if I can get say 120hz with RT I'd like to play with that on.

This sounds like modern philosophy. On cp2077, one thing that will be important is short range gunplay as a lot of the game should take place inside buildings aka the vertical world.
With 3090 evga ultra will this run max everything 4K @ 60fps? I have 10900k @ 5.2. What are your thoughts?

Twelve more sleeps because America I suspect. I spoke to JB about the fact I intend to be there at opening on 10 December to collect and they didn't dissuade me but since when has that stopped them before.
CDPR is polish and their games usually release on GMT or Polish time (CET). If they release at midnight on the 10th in CET the release will be 10am on the 10th in NSW & Victoria (and on the otherside of the world, in the evening on the 9th for people in the Americas) I really fucking hope the temperatures on December 10 & 11 aren't 45 fucking degrees like the last two days.
