unless the side content is boring (gwent ;) ) I will probably do a fair bit of it, especially if it's filled with story, etc. I did everything that there was to do (except gwent) in TW3 it was all quality.

I stopped doing TW3 side quests when they dropped to the level where there was no reward - there are just too many random fetch quests given by characters that look and sound the same lol

Yeah in the Gamespot thing CDPR is quoted as saying they had feedback about the main quest in Witcher 3 being too long. I'm guessing they mean the 'where is the tedious bard' section, which turned a lot of people off.

They also talk about how deep all the skill trees are etc and we have the 175 hour quote from the tester, so it will be interesting to see how it plays out if the main quest is 20-30% of the game content wise.

I'd be so happy with a 20-30 hour main quest. Who has time for 150+ hours to finish the story...

GTA V is about 30 hours, more if you do side quests and just drive around admiring the scenery, so its a reasonable number of hours for a playthrough

I’m glad I have two weeks of leave booked from the 18th, it timed perfectly with the delays

You might be right, but not for the reason you think...

Before, the cyberpunk/neo-noir genre was pretty niche and this might be it's first real foray into the big leagues. A lot of new people will be figuring out that they do/do not like the genre.

Most people would have no idea what deus ex was if you asked them, you might have more luck with bladerunner, but still..

Well it's not out yet, so you may well be right.
But the company also made The Witcher 3 which I thought was pretty damn good. They have success on the board. So I am more hopeful of them putting out a great game here than say... Chris Roberts actually releasing a functional beta of Star Citizen.

problem is those people who made w3 quit before or after the game was done
the people in the company now... are fucking morons
Think of it like the brain drain bioware and other devs copped

No they didn't? The majority of TW3 team moved immediately onto CP2077 project after TW3 shipped, the remainder of the TW3 team stayed to finish the DLC's and post launch updates/support and once that cycle was done they too got moved into the CP2077 project.

That is a big call when you have titles like Star Citizen that have been setting themselves up to claim that prize for almost the entire decade already.

20hrs... 75% through main quest line. Now this is likely based on mission count so it can mean SFA as the last 20% may take 80% more time. Lets not forget that who in their right mind does all the quest missions without any side missions. I am sure there will be enough for us to keep playing and having fun for quite a bit.. also dont forget you have 3 different start points which provide different path ways.. and then the different path ways based on your play style.

All in all I am sure we'll see 100's of hours of gameplay in single player..... then we will see multiplayer
Yeah, they have certainly stuck to their guns regarding this and worth supporting just for GoG! :)
