" Two more Ubisoft titles were pushed back, as Dark Messiah of Might and Magic and the PC edition of Resident Evil 4 were mysteriously absent from the publisher's list of games launching through September. An Ubisoft representative told GameSpot that Dark Messiah of Might and Magic had in fact been delayed to mid-October. "

Can't wait for this, and it's good to see a different game using the Source engine - it looks great and performs very well.

The Dark Messiah Might and Magic Demo Pages on 3D Gamers and FilePlanet has word they will be co-premiering the demo for the coming first-person Source-engine action/RPG on Tuesday, August 8, 2006. There are no details at this point on what the demo's contents will be.

    Awesome

The preview vids look cool, but I hope there is more substance to it than fancy ways of killing people

It's an action FPS, albiet a fantasy/might and magic setting. I wouldn't expect more than 'fancy ways of killign people' in an FPS, but then I wouldn't need to anyway. Looks damn fun, and any well-done melee action game deserves a good look in my book. Although there is yet to be a really good melee action game made. They need to do somethign new with the controls or the mechanics of how it works - especially blocking. Holding down block and blocking everythign that comes around is pretty crap. Mount and blade took a step uin the right direction and makes you time your blocking properly which I like very much.

I also hold out hope with the multiplayer aspect in dark messiah - hopefully it's good and catches on.

It's 1.3GB where I'm downloading it from (Game Arena)

It's at 92% so far - I'll post my impressions here after I've given it a go. Looking forward to it.

Getting it now from Fileplanet. Being on 512/128 doesn't really matter from where...
