I managed to un-flip my own ATV today.

Was feeling pretty chuffed about it, too — that is, until I managed to slam it into a brick wall a few minutes later.

    Good times, good times.

I just installed it and went into a server. It was night time.

I couldnt even figure out how to use a torch... How do you use it? Also, how do I change my name?

To use a torch hit "g" and right click the torch to bring up the menu and select "remove from toolbelt", it will put the torch in your sidearm slot.

Zombies are scared of the light. If you see any be sure to shine your torch into their eyes.

By the way if you have a mic you can talk to other players over the direct comms channel (50m range) by holding down capslock. When you start the game it isnt set to direct mode so you need to hit "," (comma) a couple of times to cycle the channel to direct comms. Don't boradcast on any of the other channels or an admin might kick you because it slows down the game.

If you don't have a mic you can type in whatever channel you are set to be pressing "/".

Well I managed to connect to one server and update battleye.
Too bad I can't remember what server it was.

Is connecting usually this bad or is it just since this last update?

We found one flipped over not long ago. Managed to unflip it by ramming it a few times. Later it flipped itself, managed to unflip it by reversing in circles a few times. Later while fully repaired, it flipped on a straight road, burst into flames, and then exploded. Didn't manage to fix it that time.

Edit: I can hear noises :Paranoid:
Edit: torch was a glitch. It realigned when I vaulted

lol @ zed's are scared of the light..

Don't use your torch.. EVER!! It can be seen from miles away.

Zombies aren't your enemy, it's other players...

So after my first day of playing I've had mixed success.

First couple of spawns I learned the hard way of how not to aggro zombies.

I then spawned at the airfield and tried to raid some hangers but someone beat me there with an smg and I was toast.

My next was my best so far, I spawned near Elektro and made my way to the power station, found a silenced smg and a friendly corpse on the roof had some ammo for it :D I ended up with some aggro but lost them running up a massive hillside. I looped back around to the plant again and came across an m4 with plenty of ammo, so decided to try a trip into town. With a bit of firing going on in town I snuck my way into the supermarket only to came under fire on my way out after getting plenty of food, compass, map and a revolver :(

Enjoying it so far and committed my first murder this morning on some poor unarmed guy, I thought it was someone stalking me so flanked around and shot him :Paranoid:

Dont feel bad, if it moves you should kill it.

Managed to break on of our pickups due to massive desync and lag in to a fence..... then all of a sudden it was fully repaired next to the fence. Random.

    So goddamn many new players.

I was crowing last week about how it'd hit 500,000 uniques, and now it's almost at 800,000.

Ridiculous, really, I'm worried that it'll adversely affect development.

I dont believe more players = less development focus.
