is 50 players the largest server, ive not seen any servers with more than 50 slots. would be fun to go on 200 player server, everyone would be scared to pop the head up lol.

I saw a 60 player cap once, but to be honest I think it's laggy enough already!

    Won't happen. Two reasons:

    1. The Arma2 engine can only support 143 (or 147?) groups. Given that every survivor is a separate group, and then there's the Infected, it just can't happen.

    • The lag would be horrible. A few guys trialled a 90 slot server for DayZ in the early piece - even that was too much.

Found a PP-19  at a crashed chopper. Awesome for mowing zombies down quickly.

Was a tispy when playing last, was running to cherno, got to the outskirts, heard gunfire so I thought I would flank around in pitch black and no compass. 30min of trying to run to balota I somehow ended up at Pustoshka. W T F.... :tired:

So how does cannonfodder start in this game? :)

May try it in between bouts of finishing off Guild Wars 1 Hall of Monuments.

If anything it should guarantee/encourage more development.

BI employ the creator so if DayZ goes belly up it reflects badly on BI.

BI want to sell lots of ARMA3 as well, best way to do it is to keep a big community happy.

I'm confused? why do you think that more players will effect the development?

To Chicago Ted, the guy I just killed in Elektro:

I asked if you were friendly, man. I knew you picked up the Enfield I had left in the firestation, and judging by the way you were running around and firing off shots in the middle of Elektro you were a fairly new player. Oh, and the three or so flares you threw didn't help your cause either.

I'm not entirely sure what caused me to open up on you, and have to spoil my 100% zombie headshot:kill ratio, but I'm sorry, man. I really am.

RIP, Chicago Ted. May one of your earliest lives not have put you off DayZ, because there's a lot more to DayZ than just running around and getting killed :)

How do I stop my graphics from being incredibly blurry? It's like I have butter smeared over my monitor. post processing is disabled (was worse when enabled).

Make sure your interface resolution and 3D resolution are set to the same value (and ideally, the native res of your monitor).

Since that I am not getting "waiting for character to create" on a black screen and nothing. Bleh. Oh and now just stuck on a black loading screen eventhough I was playing fine not 10 mins ago.

Takes awhile to load currently, give it 5min, then reset.

Sigh, getting stalked with a friend with basically no gear by a guy with a semi-automatic rifle. End up sneaking up on him, axe'ing him, axe'ing his corpse and it disappears. Alt-F4?

    Sigh.

Someone called Star-something-, full Ghillie'd up with an SVD etc.

Edit: Crossbow another person at a Castle and he disappears. Fuck people are cowards.

I reckon that's server clean-up not DC, assuming they were actually dead. IIRC it does it on a set timer every x minutes.
