who was the chef that used to post recipes here? His one is best. (RETARD). Can't find his thread, this makes me sad his account profile is kind of broken.

    El Jannah..

But out of the supermarkets... IGA.
Colesworth ruin chicken, though if they left it in the cooker another 10 minutes or so it would make a passable chicken jerky...

    Dryer than a nuns gusset...

You guys must have dodgy supermarkets, the local Coles/Woolies chickens are GREAT!

I prefer Woolies, mainly for the spice they put on top

Neither, that are dry crap. I do Chicken tuesdays from my local (previously known as) Fat Chicken, $10 cooked, much better than Cole/Woolies chucks.

For the same price I can buy a good healthy chook from my local butcher and roast it myself.

Which goes against the entire reason why hot chickens exist in the first place...

You could also get your own live chickens and process them yourself :)

So that you don't need to spend 3 minutes preparing a chicken before putting it in the oven for a bit over an hour?

Nobody who buys Coles/Woolworths chickens is that time poor, they just need to stare at Facebook less.

Maybe that works if eat late at night or don't work standard hours.

If you work 9-5 in the best case scenario, you'll be at the shop at 5:30pm, home by 6pm, in the oven by 6:15pm, and ready by 7:15pm. Then you have to spend time cleaning up. And lets face it, things take longer then this.

Alternatively you just pick up the already cooked version and eat when you get home and you can actually have a nice chunk of spare time in your evening.

I like to save 12c... all adds up. ;)

I've gone off store bought cooked chickens, back to roasting my own. I think the Woolies ones are nicer though compared between the two majors.

Not having to trudge into Woolworths is going to save you way more time.

This forum is for people who love food/preparing food, not for lazy SOB's and shit chicken made from abused animals. Australians would legit be content eating shit off the ground if you made the packaging shiny enough.

The one thing I do grab the colesworth chooks for sometimes is knocking up a quick chicken soup... just pulling it to bits to shred the meat anyway.

How shiny are we talking here? Gonna want to be plenty shiny to get me to eat shit.... most days.
Unless you knock $0.12 off it? Then we are in!!
