That reminds me, I once accidentally bought one along with rolls, coleslaw and the rest that goes with a delicious roast chicken sammich... opened the bag and it was a roast pork!

    Grout, you heathen!

I actually don't mind either of Colesworths' moist swimming birds as they do the job they're intended for... a quick meal.

I discovered today while doing a grocery run, that my local Woolworths is doing this garlic roast chicken. The best part? The stuffing, is actually garlic bread

I often do my shopping around 8:30pm or so, and sometimes Woolworths will have chickens heavily discounted. $3-odd for a (imo) tasty cooked whole chicken is a pretty damn good deal I reckon.

Epic idea - I'm going to have to try making one.

I don't particularly like either of the Colesworth chickens that much. Much prefer a Legs n Breasts (not sure if Tas only, swap for your local rotisserie chicken and chips store) chook for an extra few bucks. Actually has roasted skin rather than wet mess. Much better flavour, and properly moist, rather than sweating in a bag moist. Mmmm moist.

Actually... it's not. It's in Geek Food.

While I was living up the coast the local IGA did a mean roast pork, but you had to get in early.
However, if you phoned ahead in the morning they would cook one and hold it for your collection. :heart emoji:

Let's see Coles or Woolies offer that kind of service.

I hate how fatty the precooked chooks are from my local Woolies store. Solution: put it in the Air fryer for about 10mins when I get home! No more dripping fatty chicken.. just delicious!

The wet mess is the best part. Give me that sloppy skin
