Wasn't sure where to post this, but seems as good a spot as any.. Doesn't look like we have a dedicated case forum?

Anyway, I have a used O11D that needs a bit of TLC. The glass has had vinyl and stickers on it and removing them has left a heap of residue behind. Looking to give it a good clean without scratching the surface if possible. Any tips?

The usual window spray + cloth isn't getting the job done.

fwiw most window sprays don't have alcohol in them anymore because well it can damage things (think tv's!) yes i know they aren't windows.

sticky residues are often best removed with citrus based products though in my experience like orange power just soak it and remove that way.

Cheers guys, I've got some isopropyl so will hit it with that then try orange power if I'm not having any luck.

if you have a container big enough... soak it in a tub with some napisan. It's the quickest and easiest way to get labels and the adhesive off glass bottles (they literally slide off).

your thread title makes it sound like your case has covid

I hear injecting Napisan can solve that too.

Eucalyptus oil usually gets rid of that stuff too (and cleans out your sinuses at the same time :D )

I use olive oil. It doesn't damage the surface, and it's never failed me.

I recently got a PC off OCAU that it's whole Phanteks front panel was covered in masking tape for 2 years. It was NOT coming off.

Soak in WD40 for 4 hours, then pull out the razor blade and go nuts. Take your time. ZERO scratches or residue remaining :)

I recently used massage oil and a razor blade to get sticker residue off something.

    Lol.
