Woot! an update :D not much just a couple things needed fixing.

First is the cable that connect the LED strips.... i had just passed it across the floor of the case....

I decided to drill holes pass it through the base and then run a clip on type dummy panel.

It starts with a strip of matching white plex, this is cut to fit between 2 of the blades.

Then over to the router for some sexy channel work....

Then over to the perspex bender for some sexy bendy work!

the finished panel is bent at both ends this will give it a little spring and allow it to clip into place.

To make life easier a small grove is added to the back just enuf to get your finger into to lift.

The small keyway clip latches are routed and cut to size before being glued into place

The holes can now be drilled into the base for the cable/s to pass thru

As you can see, we cant have this ugly connection showing.

The latches are glued in.... ive made the whole unit longer as im sure there will be more cables to pass thru ;) as will a matching cover be added to the opposite side for the fans.

The panel then just hooks and clips into place

and shouldn't look too out of place.

Next was a lighting annoyance ....
There was a "no light" dull section when the strip runs from the side vents to the front fan housing.

I decided to add a little aero style wing to the section, I'm sure there's a proper name for these!

Back over to the bender :)

The new section will also add a spoiler feature and finish off the front of the psu housing nicely.

Fits nice and snug.... i'll add some horizontal grills to it later.

Then over to the router to add some channels for the RGB strips

    A quick test :thumb:

Ive added a white panel over the top so the light bleeds out around the edges rather then the whole thing lights up.

I may still change the shape of these abit...... maybe... but at least for now it adds some colour to that spot.

And of course the mandatory disco vid

    :naughty:

Wow what a great case build. Was never into the whole RGB thing but the way you have done it is very cool.

    Cheers m8 tyvm

Theres still a lotta RGB to go :D Hopefully i dont get too carried away :p

    Smallish update again.

Just added the second dual strips... i didnt want to add any more corsair hubs the idea is to have just the one hub running 2 channels one for the fans and one for the LED strips.
That way just let corsair iCue running Link to sync both channels or have them run separate for more effects.

So i decided to see if i could just split the addressable signal along 2 channels... and with a simple Y connectors it works!

I can get 2 rows of 2 x strips to run in sequence.

    Dodgy DIY "Y" splitter

Connects to the digital output from the Corsair Hub (channel 2)

Then to 2 rows of strips

And presto! both sides now light in sync.

I think i'll play with adding 2 more strips to light the top of the case as well....

You know, sometimes I wish I have the tools to fabricate a few little things (maybe a 3D printer one day) but I don't envy you mate. :D Flash back to the 70's again. How's about some glass tube for that funky disco vibe? *wink* *wink*

Havn't had a bong in 20+ years! "books ticket to canada" :p

Ohhhh i forgot to post the new vids!!!

Thought i'd get em up as i'm just about to change the whole internals again :p

It's startin to look pretty trippy, and theres still 2 more strips and 2 fans to add....

Anyways..... this is the new direction im thinking of heading down.... this is just a small test panel to see if i like it.

don't mind me posting my build in your thread Luke. Just wanna share my current fan profile (deepcool RGB 3 packs + coolermaster controller with mirage option) which results in the fans appear to spin slowly. I thought it would sync nicely with the front RGB runs you're having.

That's totally trippy man! So the refresh rate of the leds it messin with the rpm speed of the fans to make us think were all back in the 90's taking acid again :D ahhhh i miss those days :p

But your on the right track, i think i want to just have the fans a solid colour with the strips doin the trippy stuff.... but then again :D

Cheers man  could you imagine if we were neighbours :D be awesome :leet: :thumbup:

    Small update!

Finally got the fans working with the strips... designed and made a new fan box cover with a cleaner more defined rgb accent as well as a re designed psu cover , again with cleaner rgb accent.

I'll be running a second node pro to have separate control over the fans and strips... this will give me a lot more options for custom lighting effects.

Anyone told you to not let the lack of comment or feedback deter you from posting? Fact is we're all just gobsmacked, both at the quality of work and how much disco you instil in us. Blame it on the bogey... :D

Yeah I'm pretty speechless... I feel like case manufacturers need to observe and take not from this.

CASES NEED SPOILERS FOR AERO DYNAMICS!
    Case Aero=Higher frames - It's just fact.

Cheers Tazor tyvm mate  and spoilers and side wings!!!!! i try to hold back but i always fail and end up goin nuts :D

Cheers shredder tyvm mate  the workshop is a mod in itself... i go out there every other evening to work on the case mod and end up doing some thing the workshop in stead :p

Cheers roamin tyvm mate  the white is such a challenge to work with tbh... trying to find contrast isnt easy... thank god for the RGB :D

    Just a small update guys,

Bent up small set of side wings to add some stance and try to take away the top heavy look from the wing. I may add a set of front ones as well :)

Its the first time ive just lit the new mods white, im already preferring the clean look over the rgb :)

Wow, amazing, and I can't believe how many times it evolved in a 2 week span.
And that workshop, awesome, remember seeing when you were just starting to build it up, but now...….wish I had something 1/10th as good.

Cheers Alby tyvm mate  It has changed a fair bit . Then case when empty is such a blank canvas... every time i see it empty i think of yet another way to mod it :p

But for now it's pretty much on the home stretch.... with a few minor alterations :D

Cheers Tinian tyvm mate  i'm having a lotta fun playing with the effects :D

    Another small update,

tonight i jigged up a quick press to see if i could add some air dams to the base. It ended up being quiet a bit of work and still needs some shaping...

For now this is a prototype

The press works pretty well.... the top dosn't drop and hold square thanks to the single hinge..... i'll pick up some new hinges and try another press tomorrow.

    Then over to the bender

I like it alot, it adds some much needed shape to the back

its sweat as to see how easy it is to take something already custom & change/ add a different bolt in mods that add value to its appeal:thumbup::)
