ok, I recently had some problems and had to install WinXP Pro on my secondary HDD to recover data, afterwards I reinstalled WinXP Pro on my primary (or RAID).

When I boot directly from the RAID array I get 'ntldr missing'.
And If I start up with the secondary I get an option of which I want to boot into. WinXP or WinXP(RAID)....

If I go into the RAID winXP from booting off the secondary, it works perfectly though.

Is that because I've already got WinXP on the secondary and it's conflicting, or is it another stuffed install? ???

Basically I'm just asking if I can format the secondary WinXP without any problems???

    Cheers,
    Silver

don't quote me, but i think if you just delete the unneeded xp install, you won't be able to boot from the RAID install.
to fix that you need to boot from the xp cd and go into the recovery console.
repair the master boot record. (MBR)

don't try this until you get a bit more info about it though, as i'm not entirely 100% sure that will work.
