    LCD screen has memory effect?
Basically in some colors or when i'm watching movies or avi files, it seems to have a "slight shade" of the windows XP bottom start menu bar imprinted onto the bottom.

Its like a small shade.... noticable sometimes... i've owned this LCD screen for around 2yrs now.....

Think they will take it back and fix it via warranty?

Has anybody have this problem before?

sounds like image burn, but that would be there whenever the monitor is turned on

Yeah, thats image burn. People say leaving it on a black or white screen for a certain period (i'm guessing about 6 hours plus?) will fix the problem. Doesn't matter though, Dell warranty is usually pretty good and there's a good chance you will be able to get it replaced under warranty.

yeah thats the best thing about dell.

I was wondering how you find the 20" screen? Im looking at either a 20" normal aspect screen like yours or a 24" widescreen.

Does your monitor have any of the issues the guys are reporting with the 24"? (banding, lop sided etc)
