Sigh this is making me a sad panda having to wait for mine :upset:

I still havent even got an ETA at all now, and the status is stuck on manufacturing build completed.

Just got it delivered from TOLL. I yelled at the recieving bay guys to treat it like a new born baby :p

Only 30 mins to go till I get home and have a play with this new puppy

If anyone has certain profiles they have tried and tinkered with, throw them up.

    Would be mucho appreciated

    both my 24" & 27" arrived today. :D

but the 24 is for my home and the 27 is for work. soooo tempting to take a look at the 27".

now i just need a usb > dvi converter (evga uv plus+ 16) so i can hook my ips 2007wfp (portrait mode) to my macbook pro.

the 24" has taken over the dvi slot :D

next buy: eyeone display 2 :D

Got mine today. Just set it up with my 2709.

Must say i prefer my 2709 to the 2711.

Just quickly, how do i get the wallpaper to run across both monitors?

    Thanks guys.

Check out Dell's delivery page, they'll update it as soon as it's delivered. Got mine this morning.

Yeah, I don't recommend looking at the 27 inch, otherwise the 24 inch will go to work :)

Anyway, I got mine, it turned up when I went down the street for a few things, of course ;)
The bezel is larger than my 23 inch Acer, which isn't a problem since I won't, well, let's say I have no plans on going eyefinity with another 2.
Text is a bit smaller, but no problem.
Colours are more vibrant. Using a stock windows 7 wallpaper, the one with the opera house on it, the water is more grey on the 23", and more green on the dell as an example.

Here are some dodgy pictures I took.
First, the Acer v233hb. I was using the text preset.

Next the Dell 2711. Used the standard preset for this. There doesn't appear to be much difference between them, well not that I could see anyway.

And last, the two side by side
    [IMG]
I don't have enough room to get them both completely in the picture, which is why the last one has the outer edges cut off.

Edit: One thing I forgot to mention was the antiglare coating. If there's a picture that's a pale colour, and if I look for it, I can see it, but it's not something that stands out.

Is a greenish hue normal when it first loads up the monitor or when it comes out of an extended sleep? Colors seem to return to normal after while.

The Dell looks far better in colour and brightness to the Acer...and thats just from photos. You can see the blues and grees dont look anywhere near as dull as the first photo.

My U2410 is similar, yellow hue on startup but it all levels out after it warms up.

    Dwarfing my 22 sammy

AG coating, not too bad at all i dont think it will inhibit me in my Photo editing. Pretty happy with the colours straight out of the box... viewing angle is superb.

Mine was stuck on that up until it suddenly went to onboard with courier (only going off the dell phone call the other day) that it updated today.
