Can we pin this to the OP?
Exactly, and next year when they release the next 2 DLC's they'll do the same thing again.
If you played D1 from Launch it cost over $200 to buy the whole game (Even more if you had PS+ or Gold to play online). Yet at the end of its lifecycle you could pick the whole experience up for $45 digitally on sale (even less for physical copies). It's no surprise to see them pull the same shit this time.
Anyone still playing? Bertross and I are keen to do a raid but we have never done one before.
I looked at your profile pic and did the same thing , after reading your comment. Still thinking "why?" though.
I never really stopped playing D2. I quite enjoy the game.
nvm, just trying to be funny.
Jump on to the OCAU clans discord server:
I haven’t been on in months but I’m pretty sure they’re still active and raiding. The guys on there took me through the raid a few times, it’s a blast. A lot of people complain about Destiny 2 but the raid is one of the funnest things I’ve done in video games.
Would love to get back into Destiny 2, haven’t played the last DLC but a newborn at home means I ain’t got time for games.
What makes the raids so fun? only done 1 and it was just shooting a bullet sponge boss a billion times
The loot probably
The feeling when you've beaten all the bugs and odds of having a random team managing to work together exactly right to not screw up.
95% relief. 5% "hell yeah we won".
probably the same thing that makes dungeons in WoW or diablo fun. working out raid mechanics and beating the bosses is quite satisying
So I imagine some r pretty hard eh?
I'd be up for trying raids. I still haven't ever done them either. Just finding it hard to fire up the game because it's so boring now
I play a couple of evenings a week with some other 45-55 year old friends. We have our own clan, but not enough numbers to raid. Is it possible for me to join the OCAU clan, without having to join the clan ingame? I don't want to give up my friends' clan and the game will not allow multiple clan memberships. Cheers!
I see you on occasionally Sim. I'll shoot you an invite next time.
Yeah, we're both keen actually. I'm trying to level a titan to 30 (currently lvl 16)
Well they are the real "end-game" thing to do in both Destiny games. For most players, raids do require a full 6 man team to complete due to their difficulty and mechanics. They are also one of, if not the best way to level up your characters at higher levels.
I wasn't going to do it.... but I just put in a pre-order for Forsaken.
Download is taking forever!
I pulled the trigger over last weekend myself.
Patch 2.0 is live so everyone can see how the new loot is working also you can try a new 'gambit' mode on the weekend before it's locked off to the expansion.
