Hey guys thought id make a new thread for those who have got the boards.

Recieved all my gear 10am this morning from PME, great service as always :)

Currently installing windows, but everything has been going trouble free, despite all the problems ive been reading about. I did however take out the battery and clear cmos right at the beginning which i heard is a good idea to do, and i have one stick of my OCZ EL Plat Rev2 TCCD in slot 2 (other stick in this machine obviously).

My rig is now the following:

    DFI LanParty UT nF4 Ultra-D
    Athlon 64 3000+ 0447 UPDW
OCZ PC3200 EL Plat Rev2 TCCD
    OCZ 520W Powerstream PSU
    XFX 6800GT PCI-E
    Maxtor 200GB NCQ SATA
    2x Maxtor 160GB SATA
    Seagate 200GB PATA

    Anyone else got theirs yet?

I've got my Ultra-D sitting on a table, waiting to go into my system. I'm currently leak-testing my watercooling setup, once I'm happy with it, in she goes!

My Ultra-D will be arriving in a hour or 2,.

    I have a 3500+ Newcastle and a 6600GT Gainward GS for it.

Couldn't afford a super high end video this time around. And the newcastle was ment to be a winny but turned out I was lied to. (pfft don't think it will matter greatly)
I will be putting this all in my VAPO Standard (V2000 Lian Li) case this afto. Not sure what overclock to expect but I would like 2800mhz stable, but really not upto me :(

PS. Do these boards support NCQ?

Could I ask you guys some advise, I have everything here now to make this system, should I wait a week or so for a replacement whinchester chip via sending this newcastle back.

Or should I just use this newcastle?

I really not sure if I should bother sending it back, perhaps just use a newcastle and see what it does, then later get a winny if needed. ? Any Advise?

My memory is OCZ Performance Cas3 533mhz stuff.

anyone know how to check what bios the board has loaded? Everything seems to be working fine without any of the issues that ive seen people having, so not sure if i have 125/126 or 201

at boot time lower left corner of screen should show date which would be 2.01 or 1.25 etc

or use cpuz and mainboard tab

    Just a quick question,

I'm going to be using a lone SATA drive in my NF4 DFI system. I'm not going to be using it as RAID array or anything like that.
Do I need to do the "Press F6 and insert a floppy with drivers" for it when I start off the windows install?

Yes, because you need to load in the nvidia sata drivers.

Hmm my chipset temp is like 10-15C higher than CPU temp, i wonder if i should take the hsf off and put on AS5 instead, since ive read that theres a pretty crappy flaky pink themal pad on there normally.

I just opened my SLI-DR and the first thing I did was pull the chipset sink off. It's just a crappy stick on TIM, so I'll use some AS5 instead. The trick is scraping the TIM off without damaging the foam shim stuck on the sink as well.

The sink could probably do with a good lap too, looks pretty rough. Might do that in a few days.

    OK,found WinAce.

I seem to be having issues with either my DFI NF4 Ultra D or my Sapphire X600XT (It only just fits by the way).
I have not used the additional Molex connectors so don't know if that is the issue but the screens are running really slow like you can see the redraw occurring and regularly now getting VPU errors where it says it is doing the rendering in SW
Now once it boots into XP the screen is just black but is OK in safe mode
Not sure whether to try a complete fresh install or is it just the Nvidia chipset unhappy me having an ATI Video card.

    Any thoughts

    Cheers

seems that changing the thermal compound on the chipset hsf will not void warranty :leet: how cool is that!

Currently memtesting at 265mhz 2.5-3-3-8 2.7v, has made a couple of passes, will bump it up a bit. I know i should let it make a few passes, but im impatient :p
