If you like the old skool arena twitchy game play, this effort could be something to keep an eye on. I know I will :)

    Colour me interested.

Like to know what the movement is like depending on which camp you come from.

EDIT: Seems to look to come from Quake side of things?

Not sure mate - haven't played Quake in such a long time. I was a UT player back in the day.

Movement feels fantastic honestly but the weapons/hit boxes I need to get a much better feel for as well as the weapon switch timing.

As a amateur QC duel player, there is a lot to like in Diabotical.

I'm not in love with the art style, but you get over that pretty quickly. Movement does in fact feel great, I like that they have offline movement practice areas too.
One thing I can't get used to is the rail, in QC I'm kinda decent with rail, but in dbt I have a lot more trouble. I might just not be dialed in on the timing yet.

f2p is a good choice for this, I think going with EGS over Steam as of right now isn't as big of a deal as some of the early EGS exclusives. Furthermore, arena fps isn't as popular as it used to be so having some kind of funding via EGS deal is smart from 2GD.
