Maybe...its a bit of an unusual pattern for about 23 listings (including ones still on ebay) to pop up over the past month and half for artefacting and worn out 7970's and 290's mostly. 3 listings have mentioned the cards was used in mining.
*clever bastards Make $200 dollars profit from going to a shop and then spending 5 mins making an ebay ad.
Same here^, who said people are making $200 profits? Not to mention all prices are jacked with all retailers due to lack of sufficient supply for the demand atm.
really the only people i can see if the eth mining etc goes to shit coming out on top are the ones who mined, bought more cards with the coins, and built it up that way. really at the end of the day if the value of the mined coins turns to shit, you still have the asset of the video cards, which you can sell. this only works if you didn't take out a $50,000 loan to buy a slab of cards
Just managed to get a brand new Gigabyte GTX 1060 6GB for $420 delivered via eBay FutuOnline 20% off code 'PLAYING' http://www.ebay.com.au/itm/Gigabyte...-Video-Card-/232388216801?hash=item361b6ac7e1
Still, it's unbelievable, I grabbed my 1060 at the end of last year from them for $370! Then i sold it a few months later for 300 posted
It's absolutely crazy, the last 1060 I brought was around a similar time (maybe a month or two later) and that was $399 for the Gaming X. To think of the profit that would be made selling it a month ago I must admit I was tempted to sell a few cards off (could've used the money, but disagree on principle), but decided not to because there's no plans to upgrade any just yet.
Gtx 1080ti oc can be purchased locally now for less than $950. Looks like Aussi dollar hovering at 80c US + newegg keeping local business competitive again.
2 1080 ti's BNIB sold for $1050 on gumtree. 1 1080 ti sold last week on gumtree for $900. 3 1080's sold for 750 on gumtree a month ago.
All were BNIB (brand new in box) with receipt based on the description and pictures. Spewing can't link them here because gumtree ads are dead as soon as it is closed, ended/expired or the item sold.
